Remote has stopped working. It was intermittent for the last year and I've changed the batteries twice and now - I can't get it to work at all.
Unit is 6 years old.
SERIOUSLY! I've replaced my Bose remote three times and they all have worked for about a yr, then stop even with new battery replacement. This worked immediately. I'm shocked and in awe! YOU ROCK! I purchased a LAZBOY universal remote (at Fred Meyers, on sale for $9.99) and after a bunch of research and trial-&-error, was able
program it with a code (1629) which works reasonably well with the
Bose 3-2-1.
I don't have all the system-level functions (which I never utilized anyway) but do have all the basics as far as power, volume, source, and CD/DVD control.
There is a battery in the hand held remote and another battery in the receiver which gets tucked into the ceiling mount cover. Remove the ceiling cover and you will see the battery there, usually a 12 volt battery.
The upp/down slide is a dimmer.
In the event that changing the batteries doesn't solve your problems, Hunter makes replacement remote sets, available at Home Depot, lowes, etc and usually around twenty dollars.
There is a section in the manual about resetting the remote. It is a simple fix You can go to the manuals on Panasonic.com to find the methods of the madness
