HI ALL! I HAVE A DIGIDESIGN 002 RACK. MY PROBLEM IS WHEN I AM WORKING LETS SAY IN 5 TO 10 MINUTES. THE FRONT LIGHT THAT SAYS ( 1394 ) GOES OFF... I HAVE TO TURN OFF AND WHAIT LIKE 20 MIN. AND START AGAIN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.. WHAT CAN IT BE? HOW CAN I FIX IT? BEST REGARDS! REGI

Hello all. this is a very common problem with the 002. get out the dish gloves and follow these instructions. let me know how you go. its my own personal solution which worked for me. may or may not but its definately worth a shot.
unplug the unit and put on some rubber gloves. unscrew the top off the unit. if the front of the unit is facing you, on the far right is the power console. I had the same problem with mine. The problem is that the firewire isnt receiving power all the time. So what you do is just unplug the plug at each end of the power unit, and plug it back on. do that ten times and that should solve it. did for me. i know, sounds too good to be true, but give it a shot
