The vertical white coloured bar in the middle of the TV’s screen is caused by the power dropping during a DRAM refreshing and an essentially also an inefficient power filter and the power filter needs to be replaced and the power filter is going bad. It can also mean that the power jack is bad and the voltage regulator and the capacitors are going bad too and all need to be replaced.

how exactly did you try a graphics card on a laptop?

It's probably not a BIOS problem.

You should go to Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Power Options --> Change plan settings --> change advanced plan settings.

Try configuring the setting for "Plugged in" and "On Battery" to be the same. That way your laptop won't go through wierd configurations when you unplug.

Try cleaning your computer with compressed air too.

,Yeah, you cannot turn off the PSP in the middle of an update ,your firmware is now corrupted. Don't worry ,it's repairable.

your lcd screen maybe damage due to impact i suggest you bring it to the computer shop for repair. most common damage are the screen and harddrive due to strong impact.
