AC fuse is located just near mains cord ends up inside the top cover,it is mounted on small PCB,DC fuse is not used generally only surge protector MOV is mounted on main PCB for safety of PCB assy.
It is located in the top of the machine near the exit. There is a very good video on youtube which shows how to replace the maintenance kit which includes the fuser. The fuser part starts at about 3.5 min into the video. I googled HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printer Where is the fuser located and it was the first video listed. I hope this helps.
55.1 is a DC Controller error. Power down for 30 seconds. Make sure printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet, not a surge protector. Power on, if error returns, go out the www.hp.com/support Answer the questions and download the new firmware if the printer isn't at that level. If it is replace the DC Controller
You may need to replace FORMATTER BOARD & DC CONTROLER BOARD ASSY which are located behind the printer. Both BOARDs are side by side together. Just open the back cover, you will see it.

On the 5si, 8000, 8100 this could be a fuser problem. Try replacing the fuser.
DC Controller error. Turn printer off for 60 seconds. If it's plugged into a surge protector, plug the printer into a wall outlet. Power it on. If it works - good. If not check the firmware version and upgrade it if needed. Other wise replace the DC Controller.

There is probably a fuse located somewhere on it and the surge would have blown it, I know that most larger speakers and amps have safety fuses so they do not blow apart, the same goes for most electronics nowadays..find the fuse fix the problem. thanks Steve
