If your Hardware is pretty much compatible with game requirements than you have to go through some points before playing game to prevent your PC from slowing down:-
- Shut down all running updates
- Remove all temporary files from your system
- You must have enough memory on disc that can support your paging memory
- Stop background running applications
- Run Reginout Utility for extreme gaming experience
- Update DX on your system
- Try putting all graphics on low.
You need to connect to xbox live and download the updates. If you are bypassing the updates then your system will not be able to support certain video files and games.
That disc must have a scratch or the platter is deterated or its dirty. You might want to also buy a cleaning kit for your ps2 and clean the opti laser and get a disk cleaner for your games. Thanks
