I have an Inter therm mod-055 gas atmospheric furnace Date Code 870825. Had the gas man refill the tank after change over to new tank gas regulator on tank to trailer. This was a gas code requirement Valve color Brown it is to have a pressure shut off. Ran 2-3 days know pilot will light when button down but goes out when released. I am thinking that have a bad therm o seducer. This all happened after change over to new pressure regulator.

SOURCE: weak flame in intertherm furnace

Ok, so we can rule out the ignitor. (standing pilot systems can develop problems that will cause such symptoms.)

Check the gas pressure, make sure you are getting 11 to 14 PSI.

You need that after the regulator all the way to the manifold.

Also check for cracks in the heat exchanger, causing the wind from the blower to distort the flame pattern enough to cause improper contact with the flame sensor.

Make sure the burners and flame channels are clean of rust, and dibri build up, allowing the flame to properly contact the sensors.

LIght on box inside flashes 4 times on a new propane fill up

If the gas was empty for three days, the furnace may have attempted to start numerous times causing virtually ALL residual gas in the incoming line to be drawn out. You may consider purging the gas line at the clean out cap where the gas line enters the furnace. However, it should have restarted and stayed running after just a few times at the most because as long as the line was NOT disconnected from the main tank, there should be NO air inside the line to cause flame failure.

I'd suggest asking the service company to double check the furnace manifold pressure to ensure there is not a regulator related problem.

Three times this winter (on the coldest days no less) a tiny droplet of water froze internally of the regulator right on the orifice blocking gas flow.

How do i replace my sunbeam grillmaster regulator?

the problem is going to be the QCC handwheel or it is the o-ring in the tank. if you're swapping tanks instead of refilling, get a new tank but before attaching it turn the bbq on without a tank attached. leave it on for a few minutes so any residual pressure dissipates into the atmosphere. turn everything off, attach the regulator and turn the tank on very slowly before lighting the grill. the QCC handwheel can be problematic although it is rare. You can replace it with the older style POL connection which is a more reliable connection for the LP cylinder. Simply trace the gas line from the regulator to the manifold and unscrew it. the connection is a 3/8" flare which means you do not need putty or tape, just replace the gas hose and regulator as tight as possible. pressurize the line and pour soapy water on it to make sure it is not leaking.

When the new furnace is on, the stove flame is very minimal. Before we replaced the furnace, we could run the dryer, stove, furnace, and water heater at the same time. We have also changed propane dealers....

The "Service man" is correct! I'm totally shocked that it has worked for 36 years with a 3/8" line.

Frankly, whoever installed the line didn't know what they were doing. A 3/8" line will produce a substantial amount of gas pressure. But, it's not large enough to provide the volume of gas to carry all those appliances at the same time. On checking my REGO sizing manual, the minimum that you should have is a 1/2" line, for a run no longer than 40 feet. If it's over that, it should be a 3/4" line.

If you're running a high pressure 2lb system, you ca get away with a 1/2" line. However, every gas appliance will have to have it's own properly sized regulator to maintain the proper pressure when more than one appliance is running at the same time.

New GMH80703AN two stage convertible.converted to LP. regulator on tank and a low pressure regulator next to furnace .I can hear and feel the furnace gas valve but no gas coming Thur to orifice

1.You could have a empty propane tank. 2 The regulator could be frozen. Has it rained or snowed recently? If so there is a vent on the regulator that could be plugged. I have had to thaw out 4 of these in the past week. Its simple unhook it and it bring it in the house and warm it with a heat gun or blow dryer for about 5 minutes.

2002 firebird evap system 0440 code check engine light is on. i changed the entire gas tank and got a new canister new gas cap too lights still on sensor?

Are you using ethanol blended fuel? If so stop and use unleaded only and see if after 2 tanks you can clear the code. If that doesn't help and your evap canister has 2 hose connections, try plugging the hose connection that doesn't go to the tank at the first point of connection away from the canister. Plug the line that goes to the first point of connection side of that line (vacuum side). Let the canister side of that line vent to atmosphere during this test.

My Weber Spirit grill produces insufficient flame after it rains.

Must be a bad regulator. Atmosphere is getting to the pressure regulator .
It is best to leave the tank attached to the grill. Even if no gas is in it to prevent atmosphere from mucking up the innards of that regulator.

Switch a natural gas furnace over to lp

WW Granger is the biggest supplier I know of for dayton. Consult them for information and if its still available.
In lue of this find the oldest repair man you trust and ask him if he knowes anything about them. I know I could help if I could see what you have and had some more questions answered. Pilot ignition? Gas valve model? Does it have a regulator in the gas valve? Then you have to find a kit to block open the regulator. Then change the orfices to correct size or solder and redrill the old ones. Then maybe adjust the combustion air, and you may have to change the pilot burner orfice and adjust it.
After that you can fill the LP tank.
Hope this helps IF so please grade me accordingly and Good Luck.

Noisy pressure regulator

This is on the Weber site, under support. I have been experiencing the same problem and have not used it because of it.

Humming or whistling from the regulator: Outside temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and the gas level within the tank may cause the rubber diaphragm inside the regulator to vibrate, making a humming or whistling sound. Although this sound may be alarming, this is NOT dangerous as long as it is not accompanied by the smell of gas. If the humming sound persists, a change in atmospheric conditions will eventually stop the vibration.
