Hook mz506 surround sound to my Samsung tv

Typically surround sound is run through a receiver or stereo. The sound from the tv is carried to the receiver by cables (hdmi or Audio-Video connected to input area of receiver). Then the speakers are connected to the output area of the receiver.
If you are not using a receiver, then the speakers must be able to connect directly to the tv and you have to see what kind of cabling your tv supports.

Do not know how to wire my sa-w10 speakers together

For surround sound, you need an A/V receiver with 5.1 or 7.1 surround capability. Depending on what kind of receiver you have, the DVD player, satellite/cable box, etc hooks to the receiver, those signals go out to the TV, and the speakers hook to the receiver. The receiver decodes the signal from the cable/satellite box or DVD player and routes it to the appropriate speakers. If the TV program or DVD isn't HD or coded for surround sound, the best you can expect is 2.1 channel stereo sound. OR, you can hook everything (DVD, satellite/cable box) to the TV and run an optical cable from the Digital Output of the TV to the receiver, which is basically the same thing, just a different way to hook everything up. Hope this helps

I hooked up a new lg hd tv via hdmi through my digital cable box. I am not receiving true surround sound, only dolby II. I have my box digitally hooked up to the receiver and the HDTV digitally hooked up...

It's possible that the TV broadcast isn't in true surround, and is only dolby encoded.
You can try going back to the component hookups, but I am not sure that will solve your issue.

No TV signal

If it's hooked to Dish network, you have a receiver to connect to the TV. If you're using the receiver's RF output on channel 3 or 4 to the TV's antenna jack, you need to have the receiver on while the TV is scanning or it won't add the receiver's output channel. You can rescan channels after you turn the receiver on. If the TV has AV input jacks and you're connecting the receiver that way, you need to switch the TV to the AV input. That may be difficult or even impossible without the TV remote.

Sony str-dg820. having a problem getting video on tv

Hook up Composite / Component Monitor Out wire from receiver to TV video input because receiver will not change analog input into HDMI
You need to connect receiver and TV through analog video terminals as above.
Actually you are expecting that receiver will convert DVD player and Xbox analog video input into digital HDMI signal for TV and This is incorrect.

Denon avr-1907 sound from TV stopped working

Help with hooking PS3 to a Denon Receiver. It worked before, but I had to move everything to a different location and when I hooked it back up the PS3 has sound but no picture. I have it hooked directly to the receiver with and HDMI cable (the receiver is hooked up to our cable box which is directly hooked to the tv via HDMI cable).

Need a diagram to hook my Bose CinemaT speakers. When I hook it directly to the tv no problem but can't figure out how to hookup my reciever and CD player to work also? Help Please

You'd be better off hooking the speakers to the RECEIVER'S speaker outputs, THEN hooking your TV audio output to an unused receiver input, such as AUX. The signals from your receiver cannot reach the TV; thus your CD player and radio will not play through the speakers if the speakers are hooked to the TV. All receiver INPUTS are designed to accept the same signal level; thus, you can use any input for your TV audio, such as Aux, DVD, CD, etc. Just remember which input you're using for the TV audio, and everything should work fine. Almost all receivers have an AUX input; hopefully yours also has a dedicated CD input to avoid confusion. The you simply select the AUX input to hear your TV through the speakers.

Need help connecting Receiver to TV, DVD, VCR players

Take the audio outputs on the TV set and connect up to the The video 1 inputs to the receiver, BUT use the audio part of the video 1 input and leave the yellow video input blank. Now turn on the TV set, put the TV set on a channel, turn on the receiver and select the video 1 input and you should have the TV audio coming from the receiver. Good Luck.
