Hi, I have a 2-3 inch solid vertical white line down the middle of my screen. It is present on all inputs and modes and has only appeared since the colour wheel was changed. Can you help?

The connection between the main board and the light engine may need to be reseated. If that doesn't work then the dmd board on the projector is probably bad. This is not uncommon for a unit this old. To reseat the connection you must remove the power input board, power supply/ballast,metal shield and then the main board screw. You can then raise up on the rear of the main board a little and pull gently towards you. It should detach from the bottom of the light engine. If you have any board cleaner you can clean and air dry the connections. After they are dry reseat the connection and make sure the board is in place. You should see some plastic rounded top guide pins poking thru the the main board towards the rear of the board. This lets you know the board is in place. Now put it all back together and hope for the best. If it still does it then your dmd board on the light engine is probably bad.

Hi I have a 55 inch LCD TV that while I was watching TV it went completely black when I turned it off and the on again there were rainbow vertical lines moving across the screen then at some points there...

My first thought would be to check your TV on multiple inputs to verify that it IS the TV and NOT isolated to your input cable(s). If you can get a solid blue color to come up on the screen by changing inputs then it would really narrow down the issue(s).
Hope this helps.

I bought an LCD Samsung 3 years ago and about a year ago a thick black line appeared in the middle of the screen. Can this be fixed at home?

check if the lines appear on different inputs or source like hdmi,av,pc, if it happens on a different source then theres a problem with the lcd screen it needs to be fix.

My 50 inch vizio plasma tv has a 7 inch blue line down the center of the screen and there are a couple white half iunch lines in the center of that. if i hit the input button it will disappear and then...

Since the lines are vertical, the image is lost sideways and the corruption changes with the image then clearly this is a sign of Y-Sus failure, not the Z-Sus or the buffer boards.
An logic or input board failure would affect the entire screen, not just a part of it and a failure in one of the buffer boards would affect strictly defined lines of pixels and the defect would be constantly there all the time.
Since you haven't told us the exact model i can't point you to a replacement board.

Half inch crystal/ solid white vertical line on screen

Adjust the horizontal in the menu then try the overscan adjustment. If the image does not look dim you do not need a lamp.

White vertical line in the center of projected image

I have a Dell 2400MP projector that had the same problem of vertical white lines appearing over the screen.

This may seem like a simple solution, and I don't know if this will work for you, but the way I solved the problem was simply to press the bottom side of the projector, until the white lines disappear . Until now, the problem has yet to resurface.

Here's some simple steps:
1. Turn on projector
2. Connect projector to computer
3. Focus projector
4. If white vertical line appears, firmly press underside body of projector
5. See if vertical white line disappears
6. If not, try slowly pressing other parts of the body of the projector and see if white lines disappear.
7. If solution doesn't work, you may need to send it to the service center.

Hope this solution works for you.

Horizontal line in the middle of the television

From your description of the problem, there seems to be a Cold solder in the Vertical Oscillator or Deflection Coil circuits.
If you know Solid State electronics, and are good with a soldering Iron, sure u can do this yourself.
U gotta trace the Vertical section components and locate the cold solder. In most cases it will be a loose connector from the Deflection coil to the main PCB.Also check for the soldering of the Vertical output IC.
