IBM L190 LCD - the LED beside the power button corner cycles green for 1 second, off for 1 second as soon as it is plugged in. The unit won't power up, the LED just cycles green/off whenever it is plugged in. The manual suggests a .5 second green/off cycles indicates the incoming signal is out of the display range, but I'm sure this is not the problem (signal is fine and this flashing cycle is longer than .5 seconds). The monitor worked fine when the computer was disconnected from it a week ago, but doesn't respond when it was reconnected. The computer still works fine with other monitors. Any thoughts?

It's clear the problem is the display, but you can still try these 1. unplug and replug while the both is on 2. turn on, off couple of times 3. keep the LCD on for about one hour these are anyway temporary fixes :(

Hello here is others with the same problem:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=397434&start=15&tstart=0

It looks like the power button is failing.

The fault could also be the mainboard.

Try also to talk with a autorished dealer or a repair shop.

LG 17LX1R flashing red LED - TV won't power up

Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player.

Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

Monitor goes into power saving mode while working with xp operating system

Probably not a problem with the monitor but rather the power settings for windows. right click on the desktop and go down to properties select the screensaver tab and click the power settings button. Under here you can change the settings for when the monitor shuts down. Personally I would select never.

I have a xegg model xe689g, i put the batteries on and nothing worked ,no power at all. can you help me . it is brand new.

To turn on the unit, you must press and hold the (center) play/stop button for approximately 1 1/2 - 2 seconds until the green LED beside it illuminates. To turn the unit off, follow the same procedure as turning the unit on.

Sharp LC37D44U Power LED was flashing green. TV would turn on, channel indicator shows in upper right corner, sound good, but screen would be black. Channel indicator disappears but screen is still...

I had the same problem. all the service reset would only make the display come on for a few second with no "k" on the screen - only the channel would show up. I purchased a complete set of board for the lcd on ebay, and started swapping them one by one. The inverter boards were the culpret. Tele working 100% since that board swap.

Monitor

ferozkhan, It could be your LCD backlight giving you problems. With the computer on and the monitor power LED green shine a flashlight in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Look for the ?Start? button, if your backlight is not working you?ll see a faint ?start? button if you look closely. Depending on the monitor this is usually an economically repairable problem.
