Question about DISH Network IR Remote Control

3.4 IR Dish Network remote control codes for a Prima TV/DVD combo. I can't seem to find any codes that work for either.

I'msorry I did also attempt to locate a Prima remote code within DISH Network's database aswell but unfortunately I was unsuccessful and have found no remote codesfor the TV you have. However, we can still attempt to program the DISH Networkremote to the Prima television without a remote code, this would be done bycompleting a Power scan. If you decide you would like to program the DISHNetwork remote to your TV using the power scan, I have included instructionsbelow to further assist you. Withthe desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button (In this casethe mode button will be "TV") until all the other mode button back lightsilluminate, then release. 1. Pressand release the Power button. 2. Pressthe Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. Note: If the code for the equipment comes up, theequipment will power off. 3. Pressthe POUND (#) button. If the codeentered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
After successfully completing the power scan to program the DISHNetwork remote to your T.V the remote should now control your TV. I hopethis helped! Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions orneed additional help. -Kirstie DISHNetwork

Can not control the volume on an rca
Ok to reprogram the remote and this only works if you just use the remote for the tv and the receiver. Like i was saying to reprogram the remote hold the tv button till all the top lights flash, then push the red power button, then hit the up arrow button slowly til the tv cuts off, once it cuts off hit the pound (#) button. The top lights should blink three times, that should reprogram the remote, If it is a tv/vcr combo or a tv/dvd combo then there isnt a code for it. Also there is a series of years that the rca tv's wont take a full code and u can just control the power and the tv channel

What are the tv remote codes for Prima tvs when using universal remote controls like those owned by Dish Network?
We'rehappy to help you with programming your DISH Network remote to your Prima TV.Start by pressing and holding the TV button located on the top of your remoteuntil all mode button back lights come on, and then release. Use the numberbuttons to enter the codes for your Prima TV; here are some of the codes wecurrently have for it: 674, 653, 673, 912, and 842. Press the pound (#) button.To check that the code works try several different functions on the remote tomake sure it will properly operate the TV. Remember that some codes may not becompatible with your TV. If this is the case, try the other codes listed foryour Prima TV until you find one that is compatible with it. Ifnone of the above codes worked we recommend performing a power scan: Power scan instructions:

Step 1:
Press and hold the TV mode button until all mode button back lights illuminate,then release.

Step 2:
Press and release the Power button.

Step 3:
Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desiredequipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will poweroff.

Step 4:
Press the pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, themode light flashes three times.

Dish network remote to run RCA DVD player
I had rca remote that did not recieve ir signals but rf signals instead. Check online with rca or in owners manual for what type of signal factory remote sends. The dvd player I had was 5 dvd and that was the case. Dish might have an option like direct tv where you can program rf signals as well. Call dish network support or look online

Program sony remote to operate dish vip722
The Sony RM-YD029 Remote control will work with the Dish Network VIP722 DVR HD Satellite Receiver, but the Dish Network VIP722's Primary remote address must be set to 1.

The procedure below will allow Sony RM-YD029 remote control to operate Dish VIP722.

Using the Dish Network Remote Control -
1. Press menu 2 times to get to system info page
2. In the system info page the primary remote address is in a white box (bubble) followed by a Green TV (1)symbol that says IR and indicates you the channel your remote control one is configured. The Sony RM-YD029 will work when this primary remote address number (in the white box) is set to 1.

If the Primary Remote Address of your VIP722 Remote control 1 is not set to channel 1, here is how to change it:

1. While displaying the system info page, press and hold the SAT button on your dish network remote until all other modes are flashing, about 3 seconds.
2. then press the '1' button on the numeric pad of your dish remote
3. then press the '#' button on the numeric pad of the dish remote
4. then press the 'record' button (red dot button - stores setting)
5. At this point you should see a number 1 in front of the primary remote address on the dish system info page

Ensure you enter the corresponding IR code into your Sony remote control per the instructions in the manual or Sony's web site. My 722 works with Sony IR code - 01775.

None of Dish's remotes are compatible with your TV make. Most combo units are not supported for some reason. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

How to install a samsung dvd vcr combo on dish remote
Carlos most Dish remotes do not support combo TV's. However if you follow this link you can select the remote you have and find the device codes there that they do support to see if your tv is indeed supported. Dish has a new remote that is a learning type that is standard with the 222k receiver. The 222k is a dual tuner two room HD receiver without DVR. I have new Polaroid TV/DVD combo & need code for my dish remote
Dish remotes generally will not program to combo units. There are a few exceptions but if you have already performed a power scan and have not had sucess you have one of the units that will not work. Dish is introducing a new receiver called a 222k which has a learning remote to prevent these types of issues. The 222k is a HD dussl tuner NON dvr receiver.It also has an expansion port that will allow a external hard drive to be connected to it which will allow the receiver to behave as a DVR unit but with added benefits an internal DVR model lacks.
