My web cam on my sony vaio vgn-nw21ef doesnt work. i have already done a full recovery of the system and still doesnt work. they have already advised me to re install the driver for the cam... but do i reinstall the driver for the actual sony motion eye web cam? or the program that runs it which is arcsoft webcam companion? any links for the drivers? thanks!!!!

Don't you worry, You can still use your CD driver even if you use windows 7. I use windows 7 too, I'm experiencing many program incompatibility too but not until i learned how to install a program using windows 7 and run it in an older version of windows. Before you install the program, right click the installation icon first then choose " troubleshoot compatibility". It would let you choose what kind of Operating system your program will use.:D

i would go to

start
computer
right click computer and go to properties
then device manager
then scroll down and try to find the web cam there
double click the webcam and go into properties
click on the driver then click uninstall
then restart the laptop straight away
and when it restarts hopefully windows will reload the driver correctly
