HI,

Remove the front panel, take the suction hose off the pump and remove the coins and bobby pins from the pump impeller

Several suggestions on how to remedy this problem can be found at the above link.

Pull out the machine ,then pull out the the drain hose, put a basin on
the floor and drain the machine by gravity. Next follow the hose back
to the drain pump. There should be a 2" flexi pipe on one side of pump
, disconnect this and feel for any thing that is blocking the pump. if
there is nothing blocking the pump , best call a repair guy.

Lowering the drain hose to floor level will allow it to drain by gravity.

My dishwasher will not drain

It can bequite common for a dishwasher to not drain because either the drain hose or theair gap (if the unit has one) is clogged up. Drain hose clogs commonly occurwhere the hose is attached to the main household drain line, or where the hoseconnects with the garbage disposer. Turn mainswater off and disconnect mains power Tryremoving the drain hose to unclog any debris. Don't forget to reattach the hosebefore you start your dishwasher again. The drainpump is blocked or restricted by debrisPossibly something stuck/jammed in the wash or drainpropeller, remove filter mesh at the bottom of the dishwasher. Carefully remove any excess water and debris jammed near the propeller caution there may be glassor debris near or where the water drains-out.Removeand clean the spray arms, they may have food debris jammed, rinse in hotrunning waterMaintainerWash Runa wash with a tablespoon of powder, without any dishes on the hottest settinge.g. intensive, 65C, if you have a 70C this will be more effective.

Water will not drain and door will not lock.

you can use a wet dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose and remove the water, once the water is gone you should be able to open the door then you will need to check the drain pump on the lower left rear of the unit and make sure it is not blocked or restricted.

We have a maytag neptune front loading washer and during a load the washer stopped and is flashing "nd" what does that mean

I believe that is a No Drain situation. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not too far in the drain standpipe...It should only be inserted about 6-7 inches. If it is submerged in the standpipe water it may cause a siphoning effect and pull drained water back in tricking the pressure switch. After a few minutes of this it will error out. You may also have a blocked pump not allowing water to drain at all. I believe this unit is only serviceable from the back panel depending on which model. Lots of water mess will occur when trying to clear the pump so have many towels ready and the unit unplugged. Try taking the hoses from the pump and taking the pump out so you can see in it and clear it of hairpins, coins, pencils, socks, or many other items normally found in the pump. If the impeller does not have a slight resistance then a quick ":flick:" movement then it may be ready for replacement. This movement can be checked by sticking your finger in the pump while it is removed from the unit and try turning it 90-180 degrees before it flicks to the next pole on the internal magnet. If it feels gritty or very sluggish...or if it just spins with no resistance it is bad.

A tip before removing the pump hoses is to get a bucket or catch can and lowering the drain hose from the wall to close to ground level and see if water will flow out...that will allow you to drain the bulk of the tub water if it is not clogged completely. Just lift the hose to stop the flow until you can drain the catch bucket and repeat.

Good Luck!

Brand new SGS57A02GB just fitted. Run initial cleaning wash to get rid of factory water. Drain starts then stops, starts filling, goes through 2 filling cycles then the drain pump starts. The drain pump...

Hi,

This problem is mostly caused by the drain pump or a restricted drain line. Try taking the end of the drain hose off under the sink and re-checking the drain-out condition. If the unit is still not draining, I recommend replacing the drain pump.

Other possibilities could be that the sump is blocked, or the control or harness may need to be replaced.

Hope this helps.

What does the code nd stands for on the maytag front load washer?

ND No Drain Machine control board monitors water level in washer during and at the end of pump out. If wash level does not reset pressure switch, it will see water left in the washer. 1.Check for pump/drain restriction. 2.Check pump operation.
3.Check pressure switch for open contacts.
4.Check inputs and outputs at machine control board.
5.Replace responsible component.

When it goes through rinse cycle and starts to pump water out of the machine, the drain pipe fills up and overflows, then it will rapidly drain.

Usually there is a clog or restriction in the stand pipe(drain pipe) causing water to not drain away.....Suggest drain-O products.
If you have a very long drain or the stand pipe is not above the water level in the tub you will want some type of air gap to prevent siphoning.(siphon break kit)

good luck

I am getting a nd flashing on my washer

ND means no drain. You can remove the back panel to access the drain pump. Remove the hoses fron the drain pump and remove the clog. Watch out water will drain out when removing the hoses. hope this helps....

My GLTF1040AS0 front load washer has stopped advancing after the wash cycle.

Does the unit stop and display any error code(s)? Is it noisy in Spin? If yes to either your pump drain screen is likely cloged/restricted and the pump itself could be damaged.

AND/OR
Drain hose is pushed to far down into drain stack. This can cause a syphon effect were water drains while the unit is filling.

Incomplete wash cycle.

It sounds as if you have something acting as a flap causing the restriction. You should take the hose that leads from the tub to the pump off and see if there is anything just inside the tub. I have noticed that alot times you could have a coin that blocks the opening. You may have to remove the inner tub to remove anything in there

Maytage neptune

"nd" refers to a No Drain issue .check for restriction in pump, restricted drain hose loose wire at pump, bad pump.
The pump had a suds lock. Unplug the machine for a minute. Plug it back in and run a cycle on hot to get rid of the excess soap.
