Have done this, it is turned on. The power switch at the front does not feel like it is connecting with a switch or whatever it is behind it.

Look where your power cable plugs in the back of your comp[uter and make sure the power switch is turned on for your power supply if you have one.

My acer aspire one laptop screen is completely white how can i fix it

Power down the laptop (press and hold the power button).

Try turning it back on, and hitting the F8 key to get boot options. Start in "Safe Mode" or some other configuration that worked and see if that fixes the issue.

If the screen does not show anything at all, try connecting the laptop to an external monitor while starting up.

My Acer Aspire e500 doesnot detect the HDD while installing both Win7 and XP but i can see the HDD if i connect to other PC

Try connecting to another PC as you mentioned and format the drive as NTFS.Do a full format, not a quick format, and the drive should be in prime condition to be read by the OS installers.

How do i reboot my acer aspire e500

If in windows, look under the "start" menu for "shutdown". If that doesn't work, most PC's will shutdown if you press and hold the power button for roughly 5 seconds, but doing this can be negative for the equipment if the operating system doesn't respond in time. You might try just pressing the power button one time to see if the O.S. will respond and attempt to shut itself down gracefully. If it doesn't, then just hold the power button in till the machine cuts off. Hopefully, you won't have to make a habit of that. The ideal way to shutdown is to "tell" the O.S. to shutdown, so it doesn't cause a hard drive head crash or file corruption, which while both are remote, are still a potential with a hard loss of power.
Good luck!

Acer aspire e500, it will not boot up. one led work.(middle "CD")

Hello,

Does it display the boot screen?

Do you hear a buzzer or a beeper go off inside?

Sometimes a boot can be stopped by the ram, this is generally made visable by a buzzer or a beeper going off, this will stop the computer to prevent damage.
If it is this, you can get a new ram for about £20, pc world etc, and if you keep the packaging in good condition, you can return it, and just say it didnt work, so you dont loose anything, but youd need to put it in your self, you just unplug the computer, take off the cover, release the ram clips, take the old ram out, and replace it with the new one.

2) Another weird thing which can stop the boot is the ....DVD drive.
I had the same problem before with one of my clients, and for some strange reason, when I removed the DVD player, the computer booted.
So try un connecting your DVD drives, and then try booting

3) Are there any sensors or buttons on the case?
Some PC's have sensors and buttons on the case, with cut of the power if you take the cover off while its running.
It could be that there is a button or a sensor not coming in contact with its connector, and therefore, preventing the computer to boot up.

I hope this helps you,

Jake

Please help

Turn off and on the power button by hand and press keys:
Ctrl+Alt in two finger and repeatedly hit the G key (if it's
not working try again by press them three the same time
down).

You will see the screen goes through some texts and
codes. And look at the bottom it say to hold down the F
key to uninstall Goback.

I held the F key for a while and let it go.

Turn the power button off by hand and back on again.( try
this method a couple of times)

If that doesn't work then try this link

Similar "No Power" problem

You're not giving us enough to go on. "The other problem like this" is not listed here, so we can't refer to it. Is the power button connected properly? One way to check is to remove the board completely, connect the power supply and short the power pins. This will tell you if the board and power supply are working.
