Hi, I have a fisher and paykel fridge for almost 3 years.The problem is that the ice cube maker stop working. I have check all the things that are mention in the fridge guide, water supply is fine, the ice making function is set to on and the bin is tottaly empty and in correct position.What could be the problem?

Hi, For the benefit of anyone doing a Google search for it (which is likely anyone with a Fisher and Paykel fridge w/icemaker) the broken wire is a notorious design flaw, and if you see it dangling from your ice tray - symptom is no ice being made -

You must remove the clip underneath the ice tray, and a little foam pad with it. There you will see the broken wire attached to a little black sensor. It's a little fiddly to do in place, but after unplugging the fridge (unless you like a good electric jolt) you need to splice the wire and reattach it. Your ice maker should resume working as intended.

I have a Fisher & Paykel Refrigerator. The ice cube maker has stopped working and the 'force cycle' does not make the ice cube tray 'flip'. Any ideas?

Hi! The refrigerator has dual valve with two coils at the back and the ice side may have gone bad thats why it doesnt make ice. YOu will have to have it replaced to get your fridge back to its normal working condition. Hope this helps and have a good one!

Our E522B Fisher & Paykel fridge is less than a 2 year old. The Ice maker is no longer making ice... water pressure is good, filter is new... water dispenser works fine. What can it be?

Ice maker broken

check to make sure the arm or what ever controls the cubes isn't stuck closed or the inlet to the maker isnt' got some restriction

I had the same problem. my freezer was set too cold so the water inlet was freezing. what I did was blew a hairdryer into the ice making section for a couple minutes, this seemed to melt the block, then tested that it was clear by forcing the ice tray through a cycle. you then need to set your freezer warmer - I find setting it 2 bars from the warmest setting keeps stuff frozen and the ice coming :) hope this helps!!

I managed to fix the wire problem myself...I just pulled the sensor out, stripped back about 1cm of the plastic wire coating on both wires and twisted them together, popped some electrical tape around it, slotted the sensor back in place and it now works like a dream!!! let me know how you go!!
