I had the same problem. my freezer was set too cold so the water inlet was freezing. what I did was blew a hairdryer into the ice making section for a couple minutes, this seemed to melt the block, then tested that it was clear by forcing the ice tray through a cycle. you then need to set your freezer warmer - I find setting it 2 bars from the warmest setting keeps stuff frozen and the ice coming :) hope this helps!!

I managed to fix the wire problem myself...I just pulled the sensor out, stripped back about 1cm of the plastic wire coating on both wires and twisted them together, popped some electrical tape around it, slotted the sensor back in place and it now works like a dream!!! let me know how you go!!
