Six changer cd player

Error 1"The changer is unable to load or unload a disc, the changer can't operate".

Means your machine is in need of repair (unable to load or unload a disc), remove the cd player and send it to the manufacturer for repair (that's what the car dealer will do if you ask them to repair it for you).

Before connecting any cables you must set the dip switch box to the position listed for your vehicle. If you set the dip-switches after you have connected cables to the box, you must disconnect and reconnect them for the changer to operate. All 1992-2004 Honda's are compatible with the Neo Changer except the 2003 and 2004 Honda Accord and all Honda Element vehicles. Some radio models require pressing "Seek >" once to start playing after changing CD or after startup. The radios display will not show the proper disc number after disc six. You can use all 10 discs in the magazine, but the readout will be wrong. This is not a technical problem; the car stereo was designed for no more than six discs. *Due to the direct access disc system, you will not be able to directly access discs 7-10. To access these discs you will have to go to the last track on disc 6 and let it play until it loads disc #7. ( you can fast forward the track, but you must let it play the last 5 seconds of the track, for it to change to disc # 7 Switch to the Neo Changer by pressing the "CD" button. P.99 describes how to load discs:

1. Select and press any numbered button without an illuminated light above it.
2. Insert the CD while the light above the chosen button is flashing and the two lights on either side of the slot are illuminated.
3. Upon insertion, the CD will begin to play, and both the button light and the lights in the corner of the loading slot will illuminate.
4. Repeat the process for loading any additional CDs. The CD playe rwill stop while additional CDs are loaded.

Playing Discs
The radio will show the CD number, the CD track number, and the Track Time Elapsed while the radio is in the CD mode. IF more than one CD is loaded in the changer, the changer will automatically play the next disc after playing the last track of the current disc.

my 2001 ml 320 when i press cd button it says no cd player installed massage. There is 6 cd changer in the back of the car ., Any suggestion for fix the cd player?

press the load button in and select what number slot to have your cd placed into. the player will lite up showing a message to load it

My father inlaw just purchased a 2001 lincoln, with a six disc changer, Question is he loaded the unit ,and now he wants to eject the cd's and the changer won't open? any suggestions thanks

Okay, I'm assuming that you were sucessful in resetting your radio code.
I'm also assuming that you have a CD player (which may not be the case).
The flashing clock also functions as an error code indicator. It should say something, indicating what the error is. You can't set the clock until the error is resolved (a disc stuck in the CD player, for example, on no disc in the CD when it's been told to play).
The procedure is as follows (which you probably know):
The audio system display usually shows the time when the ignition switch is in ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II). It shows the operation mode of the radio, cassette player, or optional CD player/changer when you operate them, then goes back to the time display after five seconds.
If an error occurs while operating the optional CD player or changer, the display will keep showing the error code and will not switch to the time display until the error is corrected. You can set the time only when the clock is displayed.
To set the hours, press the H (Preset 4) button while pressing the CLOCK (SCAN/RPT) button. Press and hold the H button until the hour advances to the desired time.
To set the minutes, press the M (Preset 5) button while pressing the CLOCK (SCAN/RPT) button. Press and hold the M button until the minutes numbers advance to the desired time.

If you don't have a CD player, or no error is showing in the clock read-out, leave a comment so I can investigate further.

The case needs unscrewing to reveal more of the internals. Go carefully and peer inside wherever you can to fiddle the CD back into place or out of the box. It's in there somewhere, removing panels will get there.

I have the same problem I bought one with the same problem. Does any one have a solution.

I have seen this a bunch of times always with the same result, take it to a audio repair facility, the sterio has a bad internal circut. No external "quick fix" that i know of
