I have the same problem. It is caused by the thermister thermal probe going bad (open circuit). Delonghi wont sell you the probe which probably costa about $2, they want to sell you a new control panel for $93. You can replace it with another thermister and it works but it will probably be out of calibration.

Close Device Manager.
