Loose handlebars The handlebars on our bugaboo chameleon are loose in their attachement to the wheels. If you have the pushchair set up, and lift the handlebars up, it is a few inches before it connects with the wheels to lift the wheels up. Any ideas how I can tighten them?
I have the same problem and would love to know if this is supposed to be like this or is it broken. Can it be tightened?I have the same problem and would love to know if this is supposed to be like this or is it broken. Can it be tightened?
I've got the same problem, I thought about taking off the silver caps on the side of the join to see if there is any sort of screw or bolt in there that I could tighten, but other posts seem to say that this made their bugaboo worse. It would be great to get a solution for how to tighten this up. Thanks

Your handle extension locks need new shims. I use to have a good tip section on this site but they mixed up or lost all my photos. I now have a face book page called bugaboo repair guy check it out.www.facebook.com/BugabooRepairGuy
There a three parts / assemblies to a Bugaboo Chassis that all pivot around the central hub (the thing with the large chrome domes). The white release buttons only control the handle locks in the outer set of hubs. The two wheel assembles are locked by the seat / bassinet clipping on to the frame and locking the inner hub. This hub is the heart of your Bugaboo and there is a reason Bugaboo put a can of silicon spray in the maintenance kit. Keep those hubs and the brake lever well lubricated and you'll get good service from your Bugaboo. Check out my Tips section for more info.
SOUNDS LIKE THE SPRING NEEDS REPLACING... INSIDE THE HANDLEBAR ARMS SHOULD BE A CROSSHEAD SCREW... UNSCREW THIS AND PULL THE HANDLEBAR OUT, THEN SEE IF THE SPRING IS BROKE OR MISSING AND REPLACE IT :)
The best advice that I can give is to contat Bugaboo (www.bugaboo.com) who will be able to advise on the cost of a replacement chassis. Alternatively, you can purchase these from eBay most of the time.
I had the same problem... the handlebar would 'un-pop' and shake around a lot making the whole stroller unsteady. I started to get all upset and worried about sending it back but i decided to clean it first. After using the silicon spray from the maintenance kit on the joints of the stroller IT WORKS LIKE NEW! yay! Try this before assuming its broken :)
