Things You'll Need:

  • Soft-bristled brush
  • Stiff-bristled brush
  • Dishwasher (optional)
  • Mild detergent
  • Lint-free microfiber cloths
  1. Unplug your Acme 6001 Juicer. Carry it to a countertop near your kitchen sink.

  2. Remove the pusher and cover, and set the pieces in a sink. Unscrew the clutch, remove it and set it in the sink. Remove the cutter blade, strainer basket and juice bowl, and place the pieces in the sink.
  3. Discard or remove and store any pulp that you find in the strainer basket. When you're finished, rinse the remaining fruit and vegetable pulp and juice from the pieces under cool, running water. Dislodge hard-to-remove pulp from the cutter blade and strainer basket with a soft-bristled brush or with a stiff-bristled brush if necessary.
  4. Wash the pieces in a dishwasher or by hand. To wash in a dishwasher, place the stainless steel pieces in the lower rack and the plastic in the top rack and wash on a normal cycle with other kitchenware. To wash by hand, fill the sink with warm water and a few drops of mild detergent and wash with a lint-free microfiber cloth.
  5. Run the pieces through the rinse cycle in your dishwasher or rinse under running tap water by hand. Air or wipe dry the pieces.

  6. Wipe the base with a slightly soapy cloth. Rinse with a damp cloth and wipe dry. Reassemble your juicer by returning the pieces to the base in reverse order.

How do I dismantle my Grant Hackett juice machine to clean it please?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Washing Machines to a better category.

This appears to be an Australian machine and is unknown in North America. The is nothing on it apart from people selling them and no manual available.

Normally, you remove the top. Then you remove the macerator, the part with the teeth. Then finally the basket. You wipe out the machine with a wet cloth and put it back together again after washing rinsing and drying the removable parts. The machine itself is not washable.

General videos here on cleaning juicers and they are all pretty similar.

It worked when i took it out of the box, but since i washed the removable parts it will not run. i returned the first one i bought but the second one does not work either. help

this has happened to me, but i didn't have all the parts on correctly. if the 'case' is not put back on properly and the little nib flush it will not start. it should look exactly like your picture. sounds odd that there would be a problem. i have 3 of them LOVE THEM, (and i have other juicers as well) that we use as a family. I would NOT trade any of them I love them that much. In fact the one my parents bought 33 years ago I still have and it still works ;-) Don't give up, it's an excellent juicer!

I have the beaumark juice extractor BM-473 it worked then i washed the removable parts now it wont work

the first solution is half right ... there are 2 hidden switches on the machine which are activated by shafts on the pulp container and on the top lid .if either is not on then machine will not work. possibly broke plunger on the pulp container ....or broken clip that holds the container in place

How do you open the acme juicerator to clean out the extract

I have a 1962 manual which might be too old but here's what it says: When juicing is completed, simply remove the spring-clamp top, unscrew the wing nut or spring clutch that holds down the cutter blade, and all parts to be cleaned may be lifted from the base. Bowl and top, being non-porous, similar to glass, require only rinsing. Blade should be washed under running water, using a stiff brush. Since the basket is made of stainless steel, it, too, cleans easily. After taking out the the pulp, let cold water run on the outside of the basket while you brush the perforated section. Any remaining particles of pulp will be loosened and can be removed with a damp sponge or by rinsing. Dry and reassemble for next use. Turn machine on and let run a few seconds.
Hope this is of some help.

How do I take apart the strainer section?

Everything should just lift up and off. May be
juice stuck together. Try a little tap to the whole
assembly.
