Upgrading CPU is usually more complex than just upgrading memory or hard drive on the computer! If you really need to upgrade CPU which is located on mother board!
If you want upgrade you CPU, you must first know, specification of motherboard.
If the motherboard can´t see a new CPU, more exactly bios, you can try only one upgrade bios.

When you upgrade bios, try new CPU, if bios again don´t see a CPU, you can´t do anything about that.
you said that you want to upgrade ur 1.79ghz celeron cpu.
to upgrade a cpu just check that the packaging of the new cpu matches with the motherboard. and also check that the motherboard supports the new cpu that you are installing. check this in the manufactures site.
