I can't use voice in conference, says I am not authorized to join this conference and when I go in private chat the talk button won't even work

Depending on which type of chat session you are connected to... everyone needs to be in the same chat menu. Sometimes when switching from game chat to party chat you might still be stuck in game chat while others are in private chat or visa versa.

To talk to only players in your game: Press the Guide button, then select Party, Party Options, Chat Channel, and Game Chat.

To talk to only members of the party: Press the Guide button, then select Party, Party Options, Chat Channel, and Party Chat.

To mute an individual: Press the Guide button, then select Party, the player's gamertag, and Mute.

It is a possibility that you are not in the same chat session with your friends. they might be in a party chat with others while you are in game chat. (note you can only have a max of 8 people in one party chat) Or you might still be in a party chat (that everyone else has left) and they are in game chat.

You are not authorized to join the conference

While on a call, press conference or transfer button(will put first call on temporary hold). Make call to next party, talk to party, press conference button to join all callers. Same procedure to add more parties up to 8 total.

Also, if you use transfer button to start conference call you can use transfer button to join all parties.
If you use conference button to start conference call use conference button to join all parties.

whenever i try to join a conference through yohoo massanger, a message comes"you are not authorized to join the confeence"

With same yahoo ID you can do all[such as Video chat, conference, room chat, private chat, audio chat, gaming etc.] No need to have a separate ID.

what operating system do you have yahoo messenger works best in xp pro any other operating system won't have all the working features if you have xp pro then uninstall all yahoo related then reinstall after you reboot you system after all files are uninstalled.

Does that message appear also when you're on a private voice conference? If it is, try to update your copy of yahoo messenger. If that doesn't solve the problem, try re-installing the driver for your soundcard.
