It may be that your pump is not functioning efficiently ?
Usually what happens here is that the pump to expel the water is not functioning, the normal problem here is a coin or hair grip gets lodged in the pump and stops the impeller from turning, generally the pump can be removed and opened up to remove the offending article and allow the impeller to operate again, once cleared of obstruction reassemble the pump and refit it. ( be aware, as the machine is still full of water, when you remove the pump the water will flood out so you need plenty of towels so soak up the water that spills.
You have a bad pressure switch or the small hose connecting to the pressure switch may be bad

This model is a direct drive with only one pump, the drain pump. If the drain pump leaks, which is a common problem on these models, it will leak no matter what temperature wash is selected! If you a have a leak on cold, it will probably also leak on warm wash. Your problem is your solenoid operated fill valve on the cold side. Only one fill hose comes off of this combination fill valve to your fill plenum at the top back of your tub. So if it leaks on the cold, but not hot, check for a crack in the plastic housing of the valve on the cold half. The valve is located on the inside back of the machine on top right when looking at the front of the machine. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to replace.
The usual cause of such leak is a damaged or worn drain pump. Replace it to solve the problem. It can be accessed from the back if it is a belt drive machine or from the front if it is a direct drive. Make sure to unplug the machine before servicing.
Cabinet Removal Procedure (Direct Drive machines) Remove the console depending on the model of your machine.
If the console is secured by screws, simply remove the screws, lift the console up then flip it to the back of the machine. On some models, the screws are hidden under the console's removable end caps. Pull the end caps to the front of the machine to access the screws. If the console is not held by screws, use a putty knife to release the retaining clips under the front corners of the console. Insert the putty knife blade and push it until the clips are released.
Disconnect the lid switch connector from the body of the machine.
The body of the machine is held on to the back panel by two retaining clips. Use a flat blade screw driver and insert it to the lip of the clip and push it to the back of the machine.
Lift the lid and grab the front of the machine's body. Brace the machine's body with your knee, lift and pull it towards you to remove it. You now have the access to the drain pump.
Reinstall the cabinet in reverse order of the procedure above.
For belt drive washers, remove the access panel on the back of the machine to access the drain pump. Drain Pump Replacement Procedure
Remove the spring clamps that hold the hoses to the pump. Compress the spring clamps and move it away from the pump.
The pump is held on to the motor by two retaining clips. Pry the clips away to remove the pump from the motor.
Remove the hoses from the pump and install the new pump in reverse order of the procedure above.
Not a good model number, so I can't be positive on this. All whirlpool top load washers built in the last 25 years are no longer belt driven, they are direct drive, Broken drive coupling is a very common problem. If you have a wp washer older than 25 years with a drive belt, I don't recommend you repair it as there are a number of major repairs at the same time. Outer tub major corrosion, leaks small amounts of water onto the base plate and then into the wig-wag assembly(electrical shock hazard), main bearing-basket drive assembly, water pump bearings and seal fail(this is usually what burns out the belt. Hello. The problem is most likely your house drain behind the machine. Look behind your machine and you will see where the machine's drain line enters your plumbing stand pipe. Sometimes, the force of the new machines is so strong that the water actually is forced up and out of the stand pipe. If this is what is happening then you will have to have that stand pipe and the trap below it snaked as it may have accumulated lint over the years. Once that trap is clean the water should drain out without backing up.
If the water isn't backing up there during the drain cycle call the store and tell them to come and replace your new machine with one that doesn't leak.
Difficult if not seen. Most common water on the floor senario is a drain pump leaking:or a perrished pipe from friction.or sometimes, water backs up from the house drainage system due to a restriction.
