Trying to download software for a copy star cs1820 printer. please direct me

Go to www.copystar.com
Choose download
under download, select legacy black and white copiers multi functions
then choose your model 1820
under sub category choose print drivers
it will gives you all drivers version.

... For windows 7 YOU MUST go to your printers properties and click the advanced tab and change it from PRINT SPOOL to PRINT DIRECTLY TO PRINTER...

and if you want your receipt to print off to the right size... install a second copy of the STAR TSP100 and set it as (COM3)... (make sure in the properties you change the paper size to 72 X receipt and cut to partial) i'd do it on both copies

as well go in to the virtual port config and add COM 3 and COM 4

then go to the averasel station properties and set cash drawer as com 4 with the generic/text printer and then under invoices set the print drivers as the star tsp100 copy (the one that is on com3)
and set the actual printer as Star Tsp100(the one that is usb)


sorry for the some what confusing step's perhaps someone else can word it better as i do not have the software in front of me right now...


but my end result was a cash drawer that opened
a printer that printed TO THE RIGHT SIZE and not a full page

It could be a setting in the driver or in your point of sale software. If you want to check the driver, right click on the TSP100 in Printers and Faxes and click on properties, then printing preferences and advanced. In advanced, make sure the copy count is set to 1.

Try downloading the printer driver from a computer with fast Internet access and then copy the printer driver file to an USB flash drive and copy and install the driver on your computer.

try going to the star printer manufacturer web page and downloading the driver/software directly from there for your model
check for win operating systems that will support the drivers
from what you write it indicates that the driver is missing so the pc cannot see the connection

Go to HP's web page (here), choose your operating system and download the needed driver.

Forthe complete package (print, fax, copy, scan) look for something like"Full Feature Software and Driver". It is usually the biggest download(WinXP ~166Mb). If you only need the print driver (without thePhotosmart Software), look for a download called "HP Officejet andPSC Basic Software and Driver".
