Press the "release" button/lever, to allow the ThinkPad to be "unlocked" and released from the docking station.

At this point, it would be wisest to take it to a professional technician.
Either that, or take a chain-saw to the docking station, to "sacrifice" it, and then purchase a replacement docking station (on eBay?), which may be cheaper than hiring the professional.
Where is the release lever/button? On front of docking station (blue)? on right side (black)? Photo or more description would be nice. Thanks.
There is a release mechanism underneath the computer, slide it to the left or to the right.
