There is documentation available for free from the wyse website on the knowledgebase. This will detail the full usage of the S50.

It can be used as a local web terminal, or linked to an external server, via RDP (terminal services) or ICA (citrix).

The admin guide (from wyse.com) will help you figure this out :)

go on line and type in the following information:

motherboard manufacture, nake, model, and orange light comes on

try holding down the 'g' key when booting -this just worked for me.

Perhaps the systems have accumulated dust on the inside, and therefore the unit could be overheating.

This may be the problem with the WYSE driver. Ensure that correct driver is intalled and colour profile is compitable. Syncmaster is auto detected by window based OS.the message "Sync out of range" comes due to improper out put video signal.

These things are convection based cooling. The bottom and top both need to be very clear of obstacles. I seen one in use at an office, and the person had it sitting next to file organiser, she continually placed files on the top of the wyse "because she could". It took a week of constant shutoffs for it to sink in that it needed to be clear of stuff.
