Hi Marlena,
I had the same problem with the 2200ub, so I will post the solution for that. Hopefully its the same for you, if not sorry I couldn't help better.
I have a 2002 Suburban and was installing the Pioneer DEH-2200UB.
The suburban had the factory stereo still and has onStar.
So I had everything hooked up, purchased the harness which was perfect except for the blue and white wire on the stereo and a solid blue wire on the factory stereo end. I was confused by there being 2 plugs from the factory stereo and one for the 2200.
I finally went to Best Buy and talked to their tech and he told me that since I have onStar I need to cut the pink wire and wire it to the blue and white wire that goes into the new stereo. These guys were great they didn't hesitate to tell me how to do it and even gave me the extra wire and connectors I would need to do it. Best Buy is expensive but I will keep shopping there just because of their service from these kinds of people.
The pink wire is hooked into the amp which I believe is located under the drivers seat. As soon as I did this everything worked perfectly.
I am not sure if the onStar still works, but I don't plan on using it anyway so if that is important to you, you should probably have a pro do the install. Best Buy will install it for $50 (plus parts) but it could be more for dealing with things like this I really have no idea.
Hope this works for you.

What kind of vehicle are you putting it in? Does it have an infinity system? Does it have a Bose system? Does it have a factory amp that the blue accessory wire isn't hooked to to trigger?
