Hello, Allow me to try to figure this out here.

Your saying batteries and mouse so may i assume this is a wireless mouse for a moment?

Okay once you replace the batteries in the mouse you need to unplug the little transmitter from the computer, Reboot, Then plug it back in.

This would allow it to re-sync being that its infra red or otherwise.

So try that. Take out the little transmitter thob, reboot, plug it back in, the mouse should be working again.

1.Check the batteries are they in backwards?
2.Check the battery connectors inside,

Now if this is a IMAC or something like that quickly let me know!

Thanks for using fixya.com I hope this was very helpful.

Regards

Mouse does not always go where you put it - maybe if you do it over and over or turn off the computer and start again it will work. It should respond as you move it the way it used to. What should I do? Is...

Hi there,

Well first of all you can check out the below steps -
1. Sometimes there can be no discernible cause for wireless mouse not working properly. One should attempt using the mouse with a different computer to check if there is something wrong with the mouse or not.
2. Sometimes, when there is an object lying between the receiver and the mouse, the wireless mouse may stop working. Such items could be cell phones, remotes, cameras, radios, wireless routers, desktop fans, large metal cases, or other such devices. Move these devices out of the way to fix the problem.
Anyway first we strongly suggest you to use your mouse with some other computer and check where is the problem.......

Maybe some internal component is broken. try to connect the mouse to another computer and see if it works. If not, you should replace it.

Microsoft wireless notebook optical mouse 3000 Doesnt seem to work?

Okay, a coworker had this problem and it was a fairly easy fix, first, plug the USB reciever into a direct USB port, then pess the connect button on the underside of the mouse, when the red light starts blinking let go and then press it and hold, and at the SAME TIME press and hold the connect button on the receiver until both the receiver light and the mouse light turn on steadily, and voila!

MS wireless notebook mouse 3000 not working?

A friend of mine brought me this problem with exactly the same problem. here is what I found. The small notch in usb device socket under the mouse was malfunctioning. If you press this notch you will find the mouse red light blink. If you further try pressing this notch at some point the mouse red light comes on constantly. Thats it, hold it there and try to connect first by pressing the usb device connect switch and then the mouse connect switch. The moment the connection is made the usb device stops blinking and the red light on the mouse starts blinking. Wow, it works now. Some one might just open the mouse and fix this microswtich for a permanent solution.

Cordless mouse suddenly stopped working

I have had the laser fail in some of these mouse's. I have also had the batteries fail. I have seen cracked circuit boards from the mouse being dropped.

You mentioned that you changed the batteries. I am assuming that you tried new batteries that you know are good.

Technicaly, there are no servicable parts inside of these mice. If the fault is something very simple it can usualy be serviced.
