SOURCE: Aurora AS1512X Cross Cut Shredder

Sounds like the cutter is jammed. Do you ever feed staples or clips in it? Will it reverse? If not, the power borad is burned out.

Auto setting will not work on Staples SPL-EXC8A

Cleaning of the paper sensors is essential. Blowing on the center of the paper insert area will clear the paper fibers near the sensor but not all. Since my shredder was way past warranty, I opted to remove the 7 screws on the back of shredder mechanism, gingerly remove the shredding mechanism from its seat and there I found, wedged in between one of the sensors, a solitary paper fiber. That ominous, evil paper fiber was wedged in so tight that even the jet engine blasts from a 747 aircraft would have not dislodged the paper fiber. Making use of a Qtip, I dislodged the paper fiber, cleaned out all remaining paper fibers in and around the inside of the housing, then reassembled the unit. It has worked satisfactorily since then.

I have an Aurura model A S 860 C paper shredder. It only runs in reverse.? Help

I unplugged it, took out some paper, wiped it down since there was alot of white dust and used my son's air spray can and sprayed both top and bottom of the teeth and away it went again with no more issues so far. If this doesn't work, then I will also do Bernard's fix.

Change of paper roll

Yes that's right. After you get printer out of paper error message and you change the roll you need to unplug label printer and plug back in and it will print what's in the print queue.

Aurora won't turn over

If the security light comes on when you try to start it, you may need to wait three minutes to try to start it again. If the "computer chip" in the ignition key was not making good contact in the steering column when it was inserted. If the "security" light comes on after you initially try to start it, then wait three minutes, and try it again when the light goes off, if this is the problem. It happens occasionally with my piece of ---- Aurora. It may need to have a new key programmed.

Shedder one works

This is an issue with the paper feed sensor which may be a electronic eye or a mechanical switch if it is mecanical you may just have to jiggle the switch a few times, occasionally paper may get stuck behind it not letting it activate. If it is electronic you have bad sensors or bad pc board and you'll have to contact the manufacturer for further info.
