The Maxxum 70 uses two 3V CR2 lithium batteries.

The Maxxum 70 can use almost any 35mm film. Color prints, color slides, black-and-white prints. Do NOT use Polaroid instant film or infrared film.

Hi, I Had Dynax 505si super Maxxum Xtsi Minolta, I enjoyed using it . but only every after 6 months or sometimes 7 months, if im on vacation only. last 4 months last tme i used it and it was fine,,but...

If your door to your battery compartment is broken, there are no parts left to repair it. Film cameras go for dirt cheap used. As long as the camera works, you could tape the door shut. The batteries should last for many months, so taping would be your only option.

What year was the Minolta Maxxum 7000, serial number 16043985? Thanks, Karla

I do not know for certain. You might find that answer on the Yahoo Minolta groups.
The Maxxum 7000 was introduced to the US market in 1985. Sold as the Alpha 7000 in Japan and Dynax elsewhere, it was replaced by the 7000i in a couple years. Then the 700, the 700xi, the 700si, the 70 and the 7 was the last film based 7 series. There
They also made 8000i, 800si, etc. The 9 series was the Minolta Professional cameras and they had the toughest bodies, weatherproofing, higher shutter speeds, and more.
Later models introduced better autofocus, better exposure options, wireless flash, faster film advance, etc.

I have a sony alpha 100 i want to buy a 1993 minolta maxxum 3xi with 35-70 and 70-300mm lenses. Those minonolta lenses are compatible with my alpha?

I took the following off of the Alpha website
"Sony Alpha lens mount
Identical to the Minolta A-type bayonet mount, enabling the use of a large back catalogue of existing Minolta and third party lenses"

I know that the lenses that fit my son's Maxxum will not fit my non-Maxxum Minolta bodies. VERIFY THAT THE LENS YOU WANT TO MATE TO YOUR SONY HAS THE MINOLTA A-TYPE MOUNT.

Is the Minolta Maxxum 7000 capable of using infrared film?

goneoutthewi,

once the shutter is closed or the shutter open and the mirror is up no light strikes the film except the image. don't forget to use the red markings on the lens as infra-red focuses on a different plane than visible light.

Minolta maxxum 5 film camera shows blinking battery

It could be a problem of bad conductivity. Try cleaning contacts with spray oxide remover.
Good luck!

I dont get it! All I know is that almost all of film cameras rewinds when it reaches the end of film. Find the switch that turns off the autorewind function.
