Paper activates motor but paper will not feed (vf1000mx)

To oil your shredder, squirt some shredder oil onto a piece of paper (don't completely soak the paper) that you wish to shred & feed this paper through your shredder.

When the machine is running; look inside the opening where you put the paper and see if the cutting shafts/teeth are turning. From what you say it sounds like they are not turning ... but the motor is running. "correct??" So that makes it sound like you have a broken gear or teeth stripped off one of the gears in the drive system inside. You will have to open the machine up to see exactly what has gone wrong, once you know which gear/gears are damaged you can contact Royal at 1-800-524-0799 for parts assistance.

Is it Jammed.??? does the motor at least run.????
If the motor runs but the cutting blades dont turn then youv'e lost a gear inside....if the motor dosn't turn at all...then youv'e prbably lost the PCB inside...also make sure youv'e cleaned the Glass eyes in the middle of the paper oening....for parts give Royal a call at 1-800-524-0799.

More than likely the pcb has been blown....give Royal a call at 1-800-524-0799 regarding parts.

If the motor is running do the cutting shafts turn??? if not then unplug and open up the top to see if any gears are broken/stripped; give Royal a call at 1-800-524-0799 for parts and prices once you've located the problem.

Most likely the sensor in the insertion area is not recognizing a paper when you try to insert it to be shredded.

Try to clean out the gears, and oil the grinders.

Clean around the insertion area to remove any debris from around the sensor. (Be sure to turn it off/unplug it first!).

If you can remove the shredder head/grinders from the body of the shredder box, turn it upside down and clean it that way as well.

Sometimes the little pieces of paper get clogged up inside the gears.

I got some of the dust spray with the straw...inserted the straw deep into the shredder grinder/gears and sprayed.  I got tons of stuff out.

My motor/grinder worked perfect after I did all this.

sounds like you probally have a stripped or broken drive gear. Contact manufacturer for parts availability.
