Mitsubishi wt-46809 not turning on

When I turned on the tv this morning it came on as usual but only for about 2 minutes and turned off. Now it wont turn on. The green light will light up and I hear a click and then it shuts off. A few days ago I noticed the color was separated. Red and green but after a few seconds it blends together and is fine. Im not sure if that caused the problem or if they are separate issues. Can anyone help???

Your convergence amp ICs have most likely failed and that will shut the TV down. You need to replace both convergence ICs they are both STK392-570 you can get replacement ICs with free instalation instructions at the following link.

Mitsubishi WT-36809 turns on for 2 seconds and then turns off. The error code is 22. Any ideas?

Verify the model number. Some of these Mits. family have bad picture tubes, and oil spills out onto the signal board. Look inside front panel, RHS tube, look below it onto signal board. If you see an oil puddle, then tv is toast!

TV wont stay on

shutting down can be due to a blown fuse usually in the convergence section. the fuses are soldered in, with a voltmeter you can measure the fuses. if one is open then probably your convergence ICs are bad. about $250-$400 to have a field tech come to you and replace them. The other possiblity is a CRT (picture tube) fluid leak. this is more costly to fix, to check for a fluid leak pull the front lower panel and check for fluid on the chassis with a flashlight. I have sucessfully cleaning fluid from the chassis with electrical cleaner spray. after covering the chassis with a piece of plastic the set worked fine. A slow drip leak won't hurt the plastic, big leaks are another story.
hope this helps

Tv wont turn on

First reset the TV set by unplugging the AC cord for like 5 minutes. then plug it back on again, try turning on the TV, if it still dont turn on then I suspect a blown fuse or worse.

Mitsubishi WT-46809 Vertical Deflection Failure

the vertical output IC may need re-soldering or it may be defective and need to be replaced. my guess would be bad solder on the vertical IC.

WT 46809

If you can solder or know anyone who can you can repair this set easily for less than 20.00 All you need are 2 convergence ICs that take less than an hour to remove the old and replace the new ones. If you would like to have a service manual emailed to you for your model. You can buy one at the following link for 10.00 or 12.00 dollars and they will also provide you with free unlimited support to help you with your repair. here is the link.

Thanks for your help with the Mitsubishi WT 46809 but, there is more:

Fuses and IC's are soldered in on large PC board in center of chassis....
Your model is a tight fit that is usually repaired by chassis pull first, then
board repair, normally by a skilled Mits tech........
