this is what you need to bypass the sfety feature. Note this is for off road or show purposes only. Having video playing within view of the driver is ******* in moststates and is dangerous.

As it's illegal to view your screen while the vehicle is in motion, DVD players are required to be connected to your park brake switch, so viewing can only occur when the park brake is applied.

From what you have described, I suspect the wiring (or switch) connecting to your park brake switch, may have a short, or the switch itself may be faulty.

This is a safety measure implemented by most mobile video manufacturers. The idea is to keep people from watching movies while they are driving as it is not a safe practice. If you have installation knowledges you can bypass this by finding the "Park Brake" wire (usually pink) and grounding it out. A local car audio shop *might* be willing to bypass this for you with some money and persuasion.

Connect the green (parking brake) wire on the player to the black (earth)wire on the player.

pulll the unit out there will be a wire marked park brake or most likly pink (remeber coming from the head unit ) next splice it in to the black wire or to a ground

should work by just grounding to any metal on vehicle.

yea it will work if u leave the car running but once u shut off the car and turn it back on it doesnt work there has to be another way

Hit Setup On Remote.
Select Language.
Get Remote And Hit 5,4,3,2,1,0.
Listen For Beeps. Touch “Hammer/Screwdriver” Logo.
Select Brake Override
Switch To Brake Override “ON”
Now Hit Setup On Remote.

The solution that was givin for vm9412.
going to SET UP
Then Language.
Then on your remote push 543210.
Press the Hammer & Screwdriver symbol.
Click on praking brake overide and turn it on.
Then hit the X at the bottom of the screen.
And say good bye to the pink wire bs & ground.

This solution was awsome it only took one try very easy!
