You can't use a USB port for a projector, unless the video bit rate is extremely poor.

you will need to use hdmi, dvid, or thunderbolt

I'm not real savvy with Macs, but I do know that you have to set the screen to "mirroring" for it to send a signal to the projector.

I want to connect a Canon ZR 800 using firewire to my MacBook Pro.

To connect your Canon ZR 800 camcorder to your MacBook Pro using a Firewire connection, you will need a Firewire cable and a Firewire port on your computer. Here are the steps you can follow to connect your camcorder to your MacBook Pro:
  1. Locate the Firewire port on your MacBook Pro. It is usually located on the side or back of the computer and is marked with a symbol that looks like a small lightning bolt.
  2. Connect one end of the Firewire cable to the Firewire port on your MacBook Pro.
  3. Locate the Firewire port on your Canon ZR 800 camcorder. It is usually located on the side or back of the camcorder and is marked with a symbol that looks like a small lightning bolt.
  4. Connect the other end of the Firewire cable to the Firewire port on your camcorder.
  5. Turn on your camcorder and set it to playback mode.
  6. Open the video editing software on your MacBook Pro and choose the option to import video from a Firewire device.
  7. Follow the prompts in the software to import the video from your camcorder.
I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I have silver crest slide and negative scanner, when I try to open it on my MacBook pro i get the message no scanner connected although it is connected

I can think of two possible issues. Assuming that the USB ports work on the MacBook Pro with other devices, try a new USB cable. It's a basic USB 2.0 A to micro-b cable. (See https://www.cablestogo.com/learning/connector-guides/usb#USBMicroB for the shape.) Two:
the scanner driver is not compatible with the version of the Mac OS version on your Mac Pro. The OS compatibility list for the Silvercrest SND 3600 C2 is for Mac OSX 10.6-10.11 is available here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1395182/Silvercrest-Snd-3600-C2.html?page=83#manual . The D3 version works with Mac OSX 10.6 and higher.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the full model number of the slide and negative scanner and OS version on your MacBook Pro.

Cindy Wells
(By the way, if you are using a USB A (F) to USB C (M) adapter or a USB hub, that could be another source of communication failure between the scanner and the MacBook Pro. Try a direct connection or a different adapter.)

Why can I not connect a MacBook Air with a WD MyCloud using a Nexxtech USB 2.0 Data Link Cable ?

Hi,

The USB port of the My Cloud is designed to be used as an extension port. You may use it to attach another external to the My Cloud or device like a camera. If you prefer cable connection between your PC and your My Cloud, I would recommend you to use an Ethernet cable.

http://community.wd.com/t5/WD-My-Cloud/Connecting-My-Cloud-to-MacBook-Pro-directly-with-Ethernet/td-p/717882 - Check this similar topic in the official WD community.

Hope this helps

Ms9535 won't connect to macbook pro

Apple don't allow anything to link to Macbook's via bluetooth. I can't even connect my iPhone 4 to my Macbook Pro unless I connect it with a USB cable.
