I bought my ps3 320 from hsn it came with an additional wireless controller not a sony controller it has a usb flash wireless to plug into a usb port how can i you it on my win vista home p laptop as a game controller /an how do i set it an asign it as controller 1 or 2

The controller is wireless and connects to the PS3 using the USB Dongle that plugs into the USB Port on the PS3.

How do I pair my Afterglow Wireless controller to my USB dongle?
  1. Plug the new USB dongle into your PS3.
  2. Now, press and hold the Home button (power button) on the controller until the LED on the USB dongle and the 4 indicator LED's on the controller are solid.

<span>Ensure your playstation 3 is properly set up and connected to Plug the power cord for the PS3 wireless controller into one of the usb ports on the front of the PlayStation 3.<span><br /><br /></span><span>Plug the power cord for the PS3 wireless controller into one of the USB ports on the front of the PlayStation 3.<span><br />Plug the other end of the power cord into the access port on the top of your wireless controller.Allow the wireless controller to charge, leaving it plugged into the PlayStation 3 undisturbed for several hours to gain a full charge.Disconnect the PS3 wireless controller from the power cord. The mouse cursor on my laptop wandering without control?
This is what they call device interference, You might have to many wireless devices connected to a single USB port on your PC. Sometimes its a struggle between keyboard and mouse both wireless. Solution would be to limit the wireless devices to certain USB ports. For ex: plug the wireless keyboard to opposite USB port from the wireless mouse, vise versa. If you are using a multi-port USB connector, unplug the mouse from the multi-port and plug it to a single USB port on the PC.

On ps3 my controllers wont charge i have perchased new controllers and usb cord and the wireless controllers still wont charge can u help me out? all the other system soft ware is running fine .
maybe its the USB PORTS from your ps3 system that are not working try using a flash drive or any kind of USB drive into the ps3 USB port and see if the playstaion recognizes itif it doesn't I'd say its the USB ports that do'nt work

hi, i had this problem also. u have to plug in the usb receiver (looks like a usb storage that you would use for pc) into the front of pc. make sure you have batteries in controller turn it on and press home. red light will flash on usb receiver until controller is paired with it. hope this helps

Try using a PCI wi-fi card instead of a USB wi-fi so you can use your USB ports.

Or you may want to check your computer configuration settings and enable all USB ports in your system.

PS3 USB ports won't work
All I could say is have a person who is really smart with technology take your Ps3 aapart and check the diodes on your fuse board (green plate that has a buncha little things on it). check to see if your diodes could be burnt or possobly loose. unless you can take it apart but have troubles putting it back together i wouldent try it. have a really smart person fix it. not a scientist or some guy from a company...justi make sure they no wat they are doing. I messed up my USBs by having a short in my keyboard. it tells me to plug in my controler but It wont read my controlers. theres a 92% chance its somthing wrong with my USB ports. I hope this helps you out.
