lets to generic first ive done many brands but not JVC ever,
remove all bottom hatches first. (small covers first ) bingo hdd.
some PC the hdd caddy is side loaded, in tray and 2 screws held
if not there
all screws on the bottom removed now.
this also frees up the keyboard on my HPs
do know , that no 2 lap tops are the same, by year or models vast and evolve as fast as just 6 months.

im busted on JVC,
I do have lot of tricks,
screws under rubber feet"
screws on top lip of CD drive or must remove whole CD drive to see lip and screws
hidden screws in battery well.
seen too more screws here CD drive pulled (dvd) see screws here in the open cavity.
laptops can have 30- to 70 screws to remove. my dells are so easy. unlike this. thing.

The slots above the Esc and Del are very small. there are screws under the keyoard and other steps to be taken. See the website "JVClaptop.com" for more detailed instruction.
