I have a electric Whirlpool Oven (Accubake) that will not operate on bake or broil. The screen reads "locked" and shows a default code "EO" & F2. How do i clear it or do i need a part?

did u by any change do any work inside that may have reversed the wiring? other wise check the oven relay board and the wiring behind the bake broil switch
most likely you have a bad ignitor, pull out the racks and remove the floor to the stove, turn on the bake,if the ignitor glows but it takes more than 40 seconds for the flame to light you have a bad ignitor even though it glows and if it doesn't glow at all the ignitor is bad, also if the broil lights on top and the bake doesn't change out the ignitor.next time send the model number and i can look up your machine to help you better.
you do not say it is electric oven. if so broil element requires 240 vac. may be controlled by relay. Is bake element working? also controls for broil may be different setting if digital panel is in this design. I think same sensor may be used for bake or broil.
you do not say if gas oven, electric oven, single or double oven or if digital panel control, a little more information would help.
if you have digial voltmeter, FULLY disconnect electric power and measure element on terminals. probably less than 15-20 ohms for a good element.
F2 Oven temperature is too high 1. Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC). 2. For SELF CLEAN models: check door lock operation. 3. Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.
Hello Michelle!
Crazy to hear, but this is actually a touchpad failure.
Luckily, we at FixYourboard.com have a solution.

HI, the F-2 is signaling a higher than normal oven temperature. Follow these steps bellow.
1. Look for welded
relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven
control (also called clock or ERC).
2. For SELF CLEAN models: check door lock operation. If the door lock device is not working properly, replace.
3. Look for a high
resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven
temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor
harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found
defective.
Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit, not actual oven temperature.
In an attempt to self clean my oven, I pushed the auto clean button and then pressed start. Instead, nothing happened, but now have a message on the panel reading E1on the left side of panel and -F5- on the right side of panel. I am unable to clear it or operate the oven now.
