My remote lights up, but doesn't work on the satellite box or the televison. It just suddenly stopped working. What's the problem?

Clarification: Are you asking about a replacement remote control for your TV or for your TV cable or satellite box?

If it is the remote control for the TV, you can purchase a universal remote control which should work with your TV. Be sure to read through the manual which comes with the universal remote control.

If it is the remote control for your TV cable / satellite box, then you should be able to call the Customer Service number for the cable / satellite provider and ask for a replacement remote control. You will probably need to provide your cable or satellite customer number and maybe some other form of ID.

Change you hdmi connector.

the remote sensor and control buttons talk to the main which turns tv on. I would search ebay for the parts or hitachi suppliers and not too bad to install, but you may need professional help. Consulting at classtorations.com

open your remote and look if you dont have a bad soldering some where use a good magnifier
if all look good its could be the ir led blow or the
xtal frequency controler.it as to be some ting like that
hope that will help ;sometime the batterry look full or test over 1.5 but theres not good replaced before to be shure..

hi do you mean the colour flashing on the screen, if so it's gone in to screen burn mode try press menu on the remote, retune the tv, if this don't work get back to me with model number of the tv help you a bit more thanks

Sounds like the box. try to reset the box and hopefully it will solve the problem.
