I have acquired a Panasonic NV-FJ620B-S Video Cassette Recorder which has 2 x scart sockets on the back. 1 marked AV2 DECODER/DECODEUR(EX) the other AV1 (TV). The AV1 scart connector works fine on the TV but when I connect the AV2 to my Sky box I get no response on the VCR. The Users Manual did not come with the VCR, and the users manual I downloaded for the NV-FJ620 series bears no resemblence to the connections and only similar to the remote which came with the VCR. The remote does work but I have no facility on it to select an input from my Sky decoder box. Please can anyone help? How can I programme the VCR to record direct from the Sky box? I have the AE in to the VCR then the Sky box then to the TV which gives a perfect picture reception. If I then change to AE in to Sky box first then VCR to TV the picture reception goes poor but I can then tune the VCR to the TV channel (No 5) which is tuned to Sky on the TV. Would appreciate some help. Apart from this problem everything else appears fine. Tom Sisman ([email protected])

Have just visited the Panasonic UK website and the User Manual for the Panasonic NV-FJ620B-S is available free. It lists on page 11 all the details. I'll e-mail it you Tom to see if it helps.

How to connect Sky digibox & DVD recorder to Samsung UE46ES6300 TV

Buy 2 hdmi leads and use one to connect sky TV decoder to the hdmi 1 socket on the back of the TV and if your DVd recorder has an hdmi socket attach it to hdmi 2 or leave it on the scart socket
as you don't name your dvd recorder the connections available are unknown
hdmi is the best followed by component which requires a 3 cable lead 3 video (video is red green blue plugs ) audio is red and white which is a 2 wire lead which all are needed to get video and audio to your TV
scart is the lowest quality along with composite video

I have a Toshiba DVR19DTKB DVD & VHS Recorder with Freeview , A SKY + Box, A Panasonic NV-SD240BL Video cassette recorder, A Samsung PS42B450B1W 42'' Plasma TV, and would like see a diagram of how all...

connect the aerial to the dvd/vcr/freeview combo, connect a scart from that to the tv, from the scart out socket.
you can then connect the sky from the scart marked tv to either the tv direct or to the combo if it has a second scart.
Note. a scart socket with an arrow going into a box is an input, coming out of the boe is an output and a double arrow is a two way scart.
if you use scart 2 on the tv to connect the combo, the combo will recieve a signal from the tv for recording.

Panasonic dvd recorder dmr ez47veb

If your cable is connected with just a scart lead (in AV2) you just put the recorder onto the AV2 channel. You need to connect the cable decoder to the recorder via an arial lead to be able to tune it in but there is no need just use the AV channel.
