Toshiba 36A60 does not show signal on main antenna/signal source. Antenna 1 went out first. Video 1 and video 2 seem to be slowly losing picture. There is only snow and static instead of a picture on Ant 1.

The tuner module is bad and would have to be replaced, the other concern is video 1 and 2 are now becoming snowy, at this point I would suggest replacing the tv set because there are two separate issues and the cost to repair in my view would not be cost effective, cheaper in the long run to buy new tv.

PICTURE SEEMS TO BE BLURRED WHEN ITEMS MOVE FAST ON SCREEN, ESPECIALLY PERSONS IN CLOSE UP.

The Sony Bravia KDL-32BX320 generally gets excellent reviews (4.5 stars out of 5) from owners, so I have to wonder what you're watching.

This is an HDTV and should excel when provided an HD signal to display. SD (standard definition) signals often look worse on an HD display than on an SD display. An HD signal is only available via the following ways (reference the image below):9_27_2011_4_28_11_pm.jpg
1) An "over the air" (UHF / VHF) antenna is connected to the cable / antenna input and there is a broadcaster of HD content nearby (only an over the air antenna can input HD signals to this jack - no cable boxes, etc.).

2) An HD Cable TV, DirecTV or Dish Satellite set top converter, Blu Ray Disk Player (or other HD source is connected via HDMI or Component RGB jacks.

3) An HD video played back from a computer hard drive connected to the VGA jack (when the computer is equipped with a modern processor and video card).

You will NOT be able to view HD video if:

1) The source material is a SD (non-HD) source. An over the air antenna will not provide HD signals if the broadcaster does not have HD content to show or is not capable of broadcasting in HD. Digital is not necessarily HD.

2) The source material (other than over the air antenna) is connected via Antenna / Cable jack.

3) The source material is connected via Composite jacks.

The USB jack is generally not an input for motion pictures, but may display stills - depending on the TV's ability to play the format they are stored in (jpeg, gif, bmp etc.).

Hopefully, this will help you solve the problem you're having with the picture. Good luck!

I have a toshiba TV, model 52HM95. The picture is flickering and vibrant colors, especially red, look odd. It's hard to describe, but it looks similar to an infrared image.

depends what source you use. if it is a hdtv source you might have defect cables or worse/wrong connection. if you use the built in tuner for tv channels might antenna signal has problem or even connector too. check different video (picture) sources like the antenna in, video in, y/c (chroma) in etc to clarify it is not the tv itself. if this can be excluded then the tv has a problem, please let it then check by your local service.

My RCA 52in. has a blue screen... Will not show a picture?

  1. Check menu to make sure a signal is present. try video 1 with a external video source such as a VCR. If this produces a picture check for tuner signal by hooking the VCR to the antenna and tuning to channel 3 or 4. If their is no picture check antenna connector on back of set for looseness. If loose resolder antenna connector in tuner. If all these test fail the tuner may be defective and will require replacement.

How do i get better picture quality

It all depends on your signal source (ie. cable antenna or satellite) if available from your signal source the first choice is 1- HDMI -2 DVI -
3 Component video (RGB)- 4 Svideo - 5 composite video (yellow RCA) and finally through channel 3 in that order othewise digital tuner in.

Completely lost the picture and sound. All that

You didn't mention from where your signal originates and that clue screen is common to many sets and means it is seeing no input signal.
The set would seem to be functional, otherwise you wouldn't be seeing the input selection menu.
While it is possible that the RF section/tuner (that handles the signal coming in) has failed, these are pretty solid.
If you have another set or can borrow one to connect to whatever source you have (antenna, cable, satellite) to see if a signal is, in fact, there.  As an alternative, you could connect your own signal source; VCR, DVD player, or, as it offers, HDMI or a PC and set it to whichever input you have supplied with signal.
