My chaintech skt600 bios doesn't show an option for 8x agp. How can I fix this?

See: http://www.amdboard.com/chaintech_skt600.html

The motherboard has a 4X/8X AGP port. Probably, it _automatically_ detects an 8X video-card, and uses it in 8X mode.

Whant to know video card compatibility (spec) i whant to use my old hp vectra vl 400 as a living room pc on my 50'' plasma screen and i whant to have a s-video out sorry for my english iam french steve

Bonjour mon ami... I am in Nuve Zealand.. You are going to need an older type card, if memory serves it needs to be AGP, These are a little old for things there days, and while they will output to a TV, the quality is NOT going to be very good... But in saying that you still get acceptable results, i would guess you will use XP SP2, as your OS? This will drive any card you choose well. I have included a link below to help you choose an AGP card, that suits your purpose and price range.. Bon Chance

Need help with new AGP video card for T3092 E-machines desktop

You should go in to your start-up bios and ensure the on-board video is disabled. The computer will auto-detect the video card but if the on-board video is enabled then it will cause a conflict. Let me know what happens. Good luck.

AGP Video slot

the DDR doesn't matter.

your motherboard has a AGP x8 port, most if not all cards for agp will work!

buy a AGP x8 card. - I have no idea what you mean with series 1 or 2, that has never come up within the 10 years I've worked with computers.

You can learn about the AGP port here
