Hi there anil! My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH, It is my pleasure to assist you. When watching an already recorded event and having a timer set up to record it should not interrupt your viewing of that DVR event. When this happened, did you get an error message on the screen? And has this happened again? Please reach me at: [email protected] with the details.

If you have a dual receiver, you can record to TV 2 and watch any program on TV 1. If you have 2 recordings taking place at the same time, you can only watch what is being recorded.
With a dual receiver, you can place the receiver in single mode and watch a different program even if 2 recording are taking place. In single mode both TV 1 and TV 2 will be watching the same program.
A solo DVR you can record to tuner 2 and watch what you want on TV 1. With the VIP 622 receiver, you have the Record Plus option, you can have all recording go to TV 2. If 2 recordings take place, then TV 1 and TV 2 are used.
A. TVAgent is software made by Cyberlink that comes installed on many HP computers. It is on there so that you can use your computer as a TV. It sounds like its trying to start some type of program or service when your computer boots. It may be looking for the powrprof.dll file which may not be there.Make sure your Tv card is plugged in properly, if you don't watch tv from your laptop then you can uninstall this from control panel add and remove programes. Alternatively you could try uninstalling then reinstalling but you will need to download the tv media software.
while computer is starting don't just press F8, u have press and depress it as fast as possible on and off on and off. This will let u go into safe mode, remember if u added a program or hardware or software before this problem happened and if u did try removing the program if might have a conflict with the operating system. Or do a last good known configuration. If this doesn't help try this starting the computer with the mouse disconnected or the keyboard or the printer or speaker or if u just added a card remove it. This things might help.
Go into the system BIOS when the desktop boots (usually by pressing del or F10) Go to the boot options tab and follow the instructions to adjust the order of the disks. F10 to save and exit - it should now boot to the required disk
You cant. Unless you create them yourself. HP will only allow back up disks to be created once. HP sucks. Sorry. You may try Best Buy's Geeksquad..they may have ones that they have backed up.
Check if your disc player is a twin tuner model which will allow you to do what you want. It might just need configuring properly. Otherwise there are devices on sale that will allow you to achieve your goal. Good luck.
how are the cable hooked up? Is there a TV/VCR button because once you start recording, it is at VCR mode, and you need to hit the TV/VCR button to get you back on TV mode,so that you can watch TV.
