Spots/Lines on the prints

We changed the black cartridge and after that we get prints with yellow and blue spots/lines. We removed all cartridges and we shuffled them and replaced them. After it we calibrated. On the roll of the blue and yellow cartridges there are strainght spots on the left side. How can we solved this problem?

Take out the drum cartridge (piece with the long green arm) and look down inside the printer for any toner that may be leaking on your pages.

So I understand correctly, you were seeing different color toner on the cyan and yellow rollers?. If so gently clean that side of the roller off. Rotate the white gear on the right side of the toner cartridge back towards you and see if the correct color comes back on the roller. If you were seeing grooves on the roller then they will have to be replaced.

Put the toner cartridges back in and run color calibration.
Press menu/select. Right arrow key until you get to engine. Press select. Left arrow key until you get to service.
Press select. Right arrow key until you get to color calibration.
Press select.

Any other information would be helpful.

Printer is not printing yellow, Light Cyan, Cyan, blue lines through Light Magenta & Magenta, What could be causing this and it is also leaking black ink out of the bottom of printer.

Is it under warranty, are you re-filling the cartridges? If yes to first and no to the other two, send it back under warranty. If you use copy cartridges or refill old ones the warranty is vod. This means you need to replace the printer. To be honest, you'd be better off buying an Epson all in one. Even the wireless model start @ sound 40gbp and you can buy good copy cartridges from choicestationery.com

Our hp LaserJet 1312 drum head may need replacing. I'd like to know more about the drum and drum head, as well as info. on purchasing and replacing so that we can compare this to replacing the...

Hello,
the drum is in cartridge with toner. So if you buy new cartridge ( genuine or repaired ) you can use your MFP.
You must have on mind that you have 4 drum/toner units inside - Bk, C, M, Y. To be sure which one is needed to be changed refer to your problem, which I presume are lines and spots on printed paper. i.e. if the lines are yellow, you need to replace yellow cartridge.
The crg. No. are:
CB540A-Bk
CB541A-C
CB542A-Y
CB543A-M

Remanufactured one are from 50USD to 70 USD depending on quality.

The each cartridge goes about 2000-2500 prints/copies.

Hope that helps!

I have changed cartridge and drum in the printer

If the cartridge has irregularities on it you will get poor results. The large black roller should be smooth all the way around. Any bumps will cause lines and spots. It is not recommended but I have had luck cleaning that large black roller. Once smooth the lines went away.

How to clean Lexmark Z1320 printer.

hi..

You can clean the cartridge using the following steps:

Click on "Start," go to "All Programs," and down to the Lexmark. Click on the "Solution Center." Next, click on the "Maintenance" tab. Select "Clean to fix horizontal strips." This will produce a printed page.

The colors that you should see here are black, yellow, magenta (a reddish purple) and cyan (a dark sky blue). You should notice the diagonal lines above and below the solid horizontal lines. These diagonal lines should be solid from left to right with no gaps.

If there are gaps in the lines or the print diminishes across the page, you should run the "Clean to fix horizontal strips" page a couple more times to try and clear it up. If you still have gaps at the top and bottom, you should "wick" the cartridges by following the steps given below:

1. Please open the "Solution Center" again and go to the "Maintenance" Tab.
2. Select "Install color/black cartridge" and remove the cartridge (or cartridges) from the printer.
3. Get a damp paper towel.
4. Set the ink cartridge right side up on the damp paper towel so that the ink nozzles are against the towel and hold the cartridge in this position for about 15 seconds.
5. Now wipe the print head (on the bottom where the ink comes out) across in one direction only (left to right) until it looks clean. Also, wipe the contacts inside the printer (on cartridge carrier).
6. Next dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure that the ink is flowing.
7. Snap the cartridges back into the printer.
8. On your computer, select "Old Cartridge install."
9. Repeat the "Clean to fix horizontal strips" one more time. If this fails to address the problem, the entire procedure may need repeating.

try out..

Spots on paper

Look on the image drum (bottom of toner cartridge) are there spots on that?? if so clean carefully so as not to damage it or replace the cartridge. If this is not the case open the cartridge door during a print, but before the paper fully enters the fuser and check if the spots are already there, if not the fuser is causing the problems.
