The video you are trying to add to your iPod is not compatible. iPods only play file formats that are MOV or MP4.
You can convert your video by looking up "hamster video converter" on download.com. Download it, double click the file once it's done, and install it.
Once that is done, follow the instructions and you should be able to have a converted video in no time! Then just drag and drop the video onto your iPod in iTunes.

Cannot play WMV file

This is a type of video that can be played on your computer and portable media players. The most important feature of a WMV file is that its format allows large video files to be compressed, retaining the rich quality of the video. It is a file format developed to store video content in a compressed format, so that movies and other video programs can be viewed on a personal computer. These videos can be watched from the hard drive of your computer, or other media players. To play a WMV file, a set of codecs are required. A codec is a program that can easily read a file, creating video and audio formats from the provided data. WMV files may be played on Microsoft Windows Media Player and other media players as well. The latest version of WMV is WMV10.

The video file you try to open might not be a proper video/audio format.

If you insist on using the GOM Player, you have to install the codec from http://www.free-codecs.com/index.htm,

Suggestion,
Install the "K-Lite Mega Codec Pack" or "K-Lite Codec Pack" to your PC/Laptop.

Alternatively you can install Free media players like VLC Media Player Or MPCStar Player which will play most of the Audio/video formats.

Just installed new motherboard and now receive following message......itunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly. How do I fix this?

Try reinstalling quicktime. Go on control panel uninstall quicktime. Then go to this url:http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Download it again. And install it again. Itunes should now work.

If it doesn't, for Video problems: Open QuickTime Player and go to 'Edit' -> 'Preferences' -> 'QuickTime Preferences' -> 'File Types' -- check here to see if the file format of your problem video files is selected.

For Audio problems: Open QuickTime Player and go to 'Edit' -> 'Preferences' -> 'QuickTime Preferences' -> 'Audio' -- Here you will see a Device is needed that will play your sound. Select 'Audio Playback and Recording Devices', If you are having an Audio problem it may be due to having no device or an improper device.

Good Luck
