Try to find the right input ot the cable that your using. If your using HDMi cable then use the HDMI input of your tv, If your using Component Cable look for component input use the original remote of your tv and look for the right input.

PS3 HDMI

the tv more than likely the most sensible thing to do would be to check its not your cable by trying someleses that you know works. its sometimes the tv resolution or the playstation because some tv's do that, my laptop would sink and a say out of range but try someleses cable or different tv screen resolutions on picture settings

Picture wont show up on TV from PS3

Make sure the cables are properly connected and nothing is loose. Try turning off your TV and PS3 and disconnect and then connect all the cables back. Try using another cable, if you have HDMI try another cable.

I have a Pioneer PDP-R05FE 43'' TV. When I connect my PS3 to show Blue Ray films I get a flicker in the picture. It is connected using a good quality HDMI cable. There is no flicker when playing SD films...

go into your dispay menu and adjust the response 50-60hrz or if your tv is capped at 1080i then drop the ps3 to 720p and that will smooth it out alittle too as the interlaced picture is alittle choppy apposed to progressive picures and finally sometimes they just do it no rhyme or reason to it so dont go crazy about this ok :)

There is no picture coming on my playstation 3 any possible reason?

Check each connection coming from your PS3 to your Reciever/TV. If they are component cables (Red/Yellow/Etc.) make sure they are in their proper color coded jacks. If it is HDMI, check that your TV is set to HDMI input.

Iam not able to get a picture from my hdmi cable, but can still here sound. tried three different hdmi cables... please can you help...

1. Your Connections Are Faulty

Quite often, the cause of the no picture problem is a simple one - loose cords. Make sure that the cords are plugged in tightly, both on the TV side and the PS3 side. This is especially true with the HDMI cable connection on the PS3. Often, it looks tight, but you still might need to wiggle it a bit more to seat it correctly. Along the same lines, make sure that the cords you are using are new and match the connections properly on both the TV and your console.

2. Wrong Connection Settings

If you are using the HDMI/DVI cables and you don't get any picture, make sure to check your video ouput settings. If your PS3 thinks you are using standard A/V cords to connect to the set, you'll have issues. The opposite is true too - if you are using the A/V cords and your PS3 thinks otherwise, you'll have the same no picture problem. Make sure you settings match the types of cable connectors you are using.

3. Wrong Resolution Setting

This is also an easy mistake to make that can result in no picture showing on your television screen. For example, if you've been using your PS3 with an HDTV and then try to hook it up to a standard definition television set, you'll encounter this issue. The cure is simple; just go into your settings and switch back to standard resolution and then restart your system. The 720p resolution is the default setting and this should work for most standard definition televisions.

Will not show picture

Make sure your TV is on the right setting. Sometimes TV's have multiple AV settings so you need to find the right one. also make sure all the cables are connected to the correct ports
