Pride New Mobility Victory XL 4 Wheel Scooter Logo

I have a JET Mobility Model 2904JT-24 Battery Charger that I would like to use to charge a 24-V project I'm working on. It's from a Pride Jet 2 HD. Trouble is, I only have the charger (no wheelchair) and so I can't figure which lead is which on the 24V side. I can't use a VOM to ascertain polarity because as I understand it, it needs a load in order to produce charging current. I have also been unsuccessful in finding a wiring diagram online. Guest (who made the charger) can't seem to help. Could anyone tell me which of the three conductors on the 24V side ( brown / yellow-green / blue ) are positive and negative (or direct me to a wiring diagram)? Thanks!

Blue Positive Brown negative, Yellow with green stripe is additional ground. many people are trying to use the 2904JT charger for a 24 volt charger for other things. I am using mine on an e bike that has 4 12 volt batteries. I charge them 2 at a time and it works well. It only shows voltage when the batteries are partially charged. Some kind of safety feature to keep you from charging a shorted battery. No schematics available, I took my chances and verified the Blue wire is positive. lol Good luck with you project or re wire. : )

On a Jet charger 2904jt-24 which connector is power in and which on is power to charge batteries?

All questions need 'make model (what it is)' please.

The appears to be a 24 volt charger for a Pride Mobility Scooter. You just need the manual for the Scooter really.

I HAVE A JET 3 ULTRA CHAIR, WE LOSS THE 24V PRIDE JET 3 Ultra Power Chair Smart Battery Charger, CAN WE USE A COMPUTER CABLE INSTEAD IF NOT WHAT CAN WE DO.

You can use the AC charger cord from a computer as a replacement for the AC cord of the charger. If the AC cord plugs into the wall and plugs into the charger or charger receptacle on the back of the power chair, you can use it.
If I remember correctly, This chair has a 4 Amp on-board charger which has an AC receptacle on the back of the chair to plug in an AC cord. The off-board chargers take a universal AC cord which will work with a universal computer AC cord. If the AC cord plugs in, use it.

Need a battery charger for jet model 2904jt-24 3stage

Check around the neighborhood for others who have chairs. Any 4 amp charger for a wheel chair will work for you. You can try E-bay also. Your provider will wanna charge you a good bit for a new charger so check in the neighborhood first to borrow one until you can get one Hope this helps

Where can I buy a battery charger for my Jet 3 model #2904-24. My batteries will not charge up anymore. Bateries about 2 years old. Email address is [email protected]\r\n Thank you James Horton

Hi. Try a google search for your nearest pride dealer.
You would be better advised to get your batteries tested first. It is more likely to be a battery fault.
If you do need a new charger, ask for one of the new pride chargers, as are sold with the Pathrider 130 XL mobility scooter. These chargers are a very good charger. Once the batteries have been fully charged, the charger drops its charge rate to 27.6 volts. This means that you can leave the charger on for days at a time, and not overcharge the batteries.
The older 4 amp chargers maintain the full rate of charge, and do not drop down to the lower charge rate. These chargers should only be used for overnight charging after each use.
Good luck. Neil.

You didn't state what model of power chair or scooter you had but you can use any charger which outputs the same AMP's and has the same connection. Also try South West medical they will sale to the public. Click the link below and you will see the charger you are talking about.

My chair wont charge in either of the charging ports

It's either a dead charger or dead battery(ies). You will need a voltage tester meter to check. First check the charger by setting your meter to a setting over 24 volts (your chair is a 24 volt system). Test the voltage at the charging port by placing the two probes into the two outside ports (there's three ports in a triangle...test the two opposite ports.) You should get a reading in excess of 24 volts but less than 26. Now plug the charger into one of the ports and check the voltage again. If the voltage is now higher than the first reading, your charger is working and you will need to replace the batteries, if it is the same, your charger is bad.
