Question about Gaggia Syncrony Logic 74884 Espresso Machine & Coffee Maker
Banging noise is usually a broken brew drive gear. Usual cause is having the small knob in the bean hopper turned all the way to the plus + side and you get an overcharge that the brew unit can't compress and it breaks the drive gears. Its either going to have to be sent in or if your handy you might be able to replace the gears. They will havee to be timed once the gears are installed.
