Reprogram the remote: turn ignition on, press and release valet switch one time. Press and hold valet switch. While holding valet switch, press lock button on remote. The alarm should chirp to confirm entry into the programming mode (when you press and hold the valet button) and when you press the lock button. Turn ignition off. Test remote.

Make sure that the unit is not in valet (LED on solid) before attempting to program system. If the batteries in the remote are good, check the fuses at the alarm. If the fuses are good at the alarm, you may need to disconnect the control module to reset the system.

Why does my key fob start my car and open trunk but will not unlock, 2019 Kia Forte

I'm assuming you are using a remote starting system from outside the vehicle? Can you actually get into the vehicle? Press the unlock button and try All the doors. This issue might be a faulty lock mechanism on one door so the other doors might unlock and the faulty one will stay locked. Replace the battery in the fob. A weak fob battery can also cause random issues with locking and starting and the batteries are usually cheap to buy. Next check the fuses for the Door Locks. The fuse will be in the engine bay fuse box. It will be labelled as either 'DOOR LOCK', (20A) or as 'B+', (40A). Try this website for a diagram of which fuse is where.

Wireless Key Remote door & trunk opener won't work with trunk anymore

When you press the trunk open button, do you hear any "release" noise come from the trunk area? The issue may be a bad battery in the key fob OR there could be an issue with the transmitter located inside the vehicle. Do the doors lock and unlock properly? is the vehicle equipped with security or immobilizer? please advise

2002 bmw 530i key does not (remotely) unlock doors or trunk but they work fine manually.

Unlock vehicle. Enter vehicle. Close driver's door. Switch ignition ON and OFF. Remove ignition key. Press and hold unlock button. Press lock button briefly 3 times within 10 seconds keeping unlock button depressed. Release unlock button. Some models: LED flashes slowly for 10 seconds. Some models: Central locking system locks and unlocks rapidly to indicate correct programming. Repeat above procedure if central locking system does not work and LED does not flash or LED flashes continuously.

But a used 2006 solara but key fob does not remotely open trunk. Any suggestions?

Yes, insure that you have power to the trunk lock inside trunk, If not could be lose/broken wire or shot fuse. I am sure the key fob does work for the doors? If not have key fob battery replaced. Also, a quick check on power to trunk lock, check to see if have remote power button inside car, if it works power is good. Defective key fob would then be indicated.

-synchronisation procedure is complete
-confirm sync. with locking and unlocking the vehicle

Can't "pop" open the trunk

take the remote apart and take the battery and get it matched and replace it you can do this at walmart or a battery store.. youalso need to check the fuses because if the trunkdoesnt open and the fuel door does . there on the same fuse and it could be a more serious problem .. try cleaning out the lock cylinder on the trunk it is exposed so it will get dust and dirt and water in it..

1997 ES 300 How to reset anti-theft system when car won't start

With the doors shut, insert the key into the drivers door lock. Lock and unlock the door 5 times. This should reset the system. If that doesn't work you should contact a qualified repair shop.
