Lexaire 9.0 M reasons why igniter will not light on furnace

It would either be the spark igniter or the gas valve safety thermocouple.

Call for service, as only gas certified technicians can legally work on gas appliances.

Hello, I had to clean my grill and in doing so I removed the burners. After putting it back together, the burners will now ignite when trying to use the igniter switch. I can ignite them by use of a...

The ignitor(s) have apparently lost their ground. You may have disturbed a wire(s) when you removed the burners to clean them. Trace the wiring to each of the peizo ignitors (what the spark comes off of) and make sure they are tight (pushed up on the prong of the piezo) Also, where you saw the spark, remove the wire and reattach it. It is probably lose. The ignitor button/assembly is grounded to the grill frame. Make sure it's attached tightly.

Once you correct the parking wire, I think you will have solved the problem.

Happy Grilling!!

Dryer doesnt blow hot air.

I find that quite often the ignitor is out of alignment or the glass window is covered with lint.
a gas dryer blows air through a burner assembly to heat the air. The burner assembly consists essentially of a gas valve, ignitor and a flame sensor. If any part of the burner assembly malfunctions, the result will be low or no heat and slow drying of the clothes.
There are two common styles of ignitors, glow ignitors and spark ignitors. The ignitor ignites the gas either by heating up and glowing, or by sparking. If the ignitor fails, the dryer will not heat.

The easiest way to check the ignitor is to observe it. Remove the small access panel in front, select a high temperature setting and start the dryer. Watch the burner assembly, shortly after starting the dryer the ignitor should begin to glow or spark. If you see it glow or spark, then the ignitor is working.

One burner will not spark. It gets gas but when you hit the ingitor there is no spark to get it going. I do not see an easy way of pulling the small element (like spark plug tip) any ideas on how to fix???

The most common reason for this is debris that is gumming things up. Spray some degreaser on the ignitor and scrub it gently with a Q tip or a small brush. Repeat until it is all cleaned up and try again.

If cleaning it does not do it then you should check to be sure that the wired connected to the ignitor are nice and tight. if not, use pliers to snug the connectors down.

If all of these ideas are to no avail, replace the ignitor.

Viking dual-fuel range ignition problem

You may have wet it somehow. There are two fixes. Leave them on for 20 minutes on high to let the ignitors dry out. If they dry and stop clicking you have solved it. If not then contact Viking 888-845-4641 and purchase a 6 point spark module. You can try to replace this yourself. With the power OFF. Remove the wires one by one placing them on the new module and then attaching it to the wall. (this is if ur spark module is located under the burners.) If it is in the rear of the unit and u can pull out your range yourself without hurting yourself then you do the same thing. Good luck. If none helps you you may need to replace all 6 burner bases or ignotrs. Also easy. Good luck.

Ignitors stopped working.

Probably a spark module.  Some models have 2 of them.
