watch the blinking light---if a specific sequence like 7 blinks a pause and repeated endlessly that is a error code. It will not point to a specific part but will indicate where the issue might be.
If i remember correctly ten blinks means a high voltage error. The only thing you could try is unplugging the power cord then plug it back in and try turning on the tv. If it still won't turn on try unplugging the power cord for five hours or longer and try again. If it still won't turn on it would be best to find a local repair shop that works on sony tv's and have them repair it for you.

Can you unplug the TV for about 15 seconds, and then plug back in and watch the stand-by light. Tell me how many time the stand-by light blinks in regular intervals. If it doesn't blink at all, you need to change a fuse on the g-board. Once this is done run back through the stand-by blink light process, and more troubleshooting can be done if problem isn't already solved. If the stand-by light just keeps blinking with a count over ten just tell me, and I'll look for other possibilities.
