We need the password Is there a default password out of the box?

As with all devices of this type it is important to set or change the default password in order to stop anyone accessing your device or changing settings.
The default password Swann DVR password is "12345".
However out of the box the password isn't enabled so you can try leaving the field blank if the default password fails.
To ensure you ongoing privacy Swann strongly recommend that this default password is changed as soon as possible. Remember when choosing a new password make sure its something that others will not be able guess. Password format on the Swann systems is simply numbers.
If you do manage to lock yourself out of the system or have inherited a machine you may need to contact the Swann technical support team.

Try the default password of 000000. Otehrwise you need to do a system restore to factory defaults (also password 000000 by default)

You need to perform a factory reset. the reset button is on the back next the the antenna. press and hold for 10 seconds - the router will then restart. This will reset the password to the default.

You will need to reset the router or change the password in the router 1. To change the password, goto Internet Explorer 2. In the address bar type 192.168.1.1 3. Press enter key 4. YOu should see a box with username and password fields. 5. username is admin 6.password is password 7. These are not the wireless passwords but the access password to get in the router. 8. Once in the router interface on Internet Explorer; goto the wireless sections and change the password there.

you have to access the router configuration page by typing the default ip address of the router http://192.168.1.1 in your browser when you hit enter it should pop up a login window asking for Username and password. by default from the factory Username should be left blank and the default password is admin
this will get you in the configuration screen click on the administration tab and there you will find the password boxes. make sure you type the same password on both window boxes then click save settings on the bottom
PS. don't forget your password otherwise you will need to reset the router by pressing the reset button on the back of the router and you'll have to repeat the whole process

The default password should be all zeroes. Just push 0 as many times as you can to get to the end of the password box. Usually it is eight 0's. Hope this helps!

In order to change the network key kindly follow the steps:

Please connect the router to the computer first.

1.Start> Run.type cmd and hit enter.
2.In the black box type ipconfig/all and hit enter.
3.Kindly note down the default gateway.
4.Now open internet explorer and in the address bar
type the default gateway number and hit enter.
5.If you have not changed the default password of the router then kindly do not type anything in the username box and in the password box type admin and hit enter.
6.In the setup page click Wireless.
7.Under wireless tab click wireless security.
8.Select the security mode or if it is already selected then you can change the password.

Kindly set the password something that you can always remember.

If it is the default login you should type admin for the user name and leave the password blank.


If you need to reset to factory defaults do this:

Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.

Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.

Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.

Step 4 Release the Reset button.

Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.

Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.
