If it is a foam filter I would wash it with dish soap and hot water. Rinse thourghly and let dry completly before reinstalling. I blow mine with low pressure compressed air to speed drying time. I have been cleaning the filters on my siihl029 and craftsman lawn mower engines this way for years and have had no problems. Thank you.

How to clean filters

Most of the Dyson have a filter inside the canister where the dirt goes or under it---it is critical for safe operation--if it gets really blocked the motor will overheat and the thermal cutoff will kill all power to the unit.

It is a white foam type and instructions for washing are right on the ring it inserts into. Wash with water and mild soap (I use dish soap).

I suggest doing in the sink and expect the water to run black for a while----it must be allowed to dry completely and do not use a air compressor to do this.

The foam type filters are washable, I am not aware of another filter in this unit but check the owner manual anyway.

The filter will not "look" real dirty but when you run water thru it you will now know.

Shortly after I turn on the sanitizer on the machine, it turns itself off (the whole machine). Does it need to be cleaned?? What type of solution do I clean the boards in??

Remove the plaques and using an old tooth brush clean with mild soap and water.. Rinse thoroughly, towel dry and finish drying them with blow drier. The interior of the unit and it's filter should also be cleaned. Depending on what type filer it uses (Aluminum mesh or soft mesh plastic) they too and can be washed with mild soap and water, rinsed and thoroughly dried. Any other type filter material may need to be replaced. Clean the interior with canned compressed air with a straw nozzle and a dry paper towel.

Of course, before you do any of the above, unplug the unit.

Hi,
Either throw it in the bathtub and wash it out with soapy water or just spray soap on it and rinse with a hose outside...

dry it and then reinstall it...

Dirty filter

Yes just soap and water is fine for cleaning them. Just be gently and dont tear the filter. Make sure they are nice and dry before you put them back in.

I dont know how to claen the filter

There is no filter. Take the grid out, wash it with warm water and soap, and let it COMPLETELY dry. Thats it.

Water and soap remains in the soap tray

You need to check for blockage in dispenser, remove completely and thoroughly clean every part of it.
Other possibility is not enough water pressure to take all powder down, check water pressure, filters in hoses if fitted..
Check hose from dispenser to drum for restriction.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Soap dispenser not working

It sounds like the water valve has a clogged filter.  Shut the cold water to the washer off, disconnect the hose and remove the filter screen in the washer water valve.  Clean out the filter with toothbrush.  Reinstall and everything should be ok.
